Part 16

Maura's POV

I snuggled my back into Jane and smiled. Angela had went back to the guest house. "Jane..." I said softly. "Hmm?" Jane nudged her nose into my hair making me smile. "I love you." Janes grip on my tightened. "I love you too Maura." I turned to her and smiled. "How did I get so lucky?" I asked as I stroked her cheek. "I'm the lucky one Maur." Jane leaned in and nudged my noes with hers. Jane peppered a few kissed on my lips then we just stayed like that for a while. I love just being with Jane, we don't have to be kissing, we just hold each other, just sitting in the same room as her makes me happy. "How did this happen." I chuckled.

"What...?" Jane asked.

"Us...I never expected you to love me."

"It's hard not to." I smiled and rested my head on her shoulder. Jane and I had a wonderful night together. And it got even better when we started a movie. The movie was about half way through when Jane looked over at me. I looked at her and smiled. "What?" I asked. Jane cupped my cheek and started to kiss me passionately. I wrapped my arms around her neck as she picked me up. I put my legs around her waist and pulled away. I smiled slyly and went for the buttons on Janes shirt. "Maur...are you sure."

"Very."

Later that night.

Jane and I laid in bed, naked and wrapped in the sheets. I smiled at Jane and pulled her closer. "I love you so much Janie."

"I love you too Maura." Jane kissed on my shoulders and neck while I laid there. She kissed every single scar on my back, that made me feel better about it. Jane put her arms around me and rested her head on my back. "Good night Maur."

"Night Jane."

Next morning

"Maura...Maura, baby wake up..." I heard Jane whisper in my ear. I smiled and opened my eyes. "Good morning." I said rolling onto my back and looking up at the detective. She smiled and crawled on top of me. "Morning, how did you sleep?"

"I slept great." I stroked her hair out of her face and held it behind her head. "Good." Jane looked at me with the sweetest look I have ever seen on her face. I pulled her down and kissed her softly. When we pulled away Jane started to kiss my collar bone. I giggled at her. "You are so gorgeous." Jane mumbled against my neck. Then the door opened. "Girls-"

"MA!"

"Angela!" we screamed pulling the covers farther up. She automatically turned around and shut the door. I looked at Jane and started to laugh. "Gosh what is wrong with her." I chuckled. I pulled Jane back to me and cuddled her. "She's insane." Jane whispered.
