Just let me go

The next day I got ready. I threw on a pair of floral leggings and a oversized black sweater with my vans. I threw my hair up in a messy bun. I grabbed my bag. When I went down stairs I just ate something quick to eat. When I was down I grabbed my bag and started to walk out the door.

Cody: where are you going

Me: does it matter

Cody: your not going to go see Tyler..

Me: you can't tell who I can't see

Cody: you are going to see him after last night

Me: Tyler is nice

Cody: I'm just warning you about him

Me: not all guys I talk to are bad news

Cody: but he is

Me: I'm seeing him

Cody: fine when he breaks your heart don't come crying to me to fix everything

Then I walked out of the house and got in my car and drove to Tyler's house.

I knocked on the door.

Tyler: Dani? I didn't think you would come

Me: well I'm here

Tyler: how did you get Cody to let you come here

Me: I didn't he didn't want me to come

Tyler: want to smoke some

Me: yeah

He gave me the joint. I knew I couldn't do this all the time it was going to ruin my career for soccer.

We smoked for awhile.

Then we stopped to sober up a little so we talked.

Tyler: you are alright for a nerdy soccer player

Me: you think I'm nerdy?

Tyler: yeah you are quiet and study all the time

Me: you are kidding right

Tyler: no

Me: just because I study and quiet makes me a nerd

Tyler: babe I didn't mean to make you mad

Me: no don't call me babe I have to go anyway

Tyler: your a bitch you know that

Me: your also a douche that plays girls all the time.

Then I left.

When I got home I went to my room. I wasn't crying I want mad. I just wished I would of listened to Cody.

Then Cody knocked on the door. I answered the door.

Me: you happy you were right

Cody: I warned you

Me: if that's what you came here for is to tell me I told you so you can leave.

Cody: I wanted to ask you if you knew about the news

Me: what news

Cody: your mom is getting buried around here

Me: ok thanks

Cody: you want to talk

Me: just leave me alone

Cody: I'm here for you

Me: why do you say that because every time you tell me to not do something and I do it anyways you rub it in that you were right

Cody: I don't mean to do that

Me: I'm done Cody I'm done with it

Then I stormed out of the house.

I was crying. I called Melissa.

Melissa: Dani?

Me: Melissa can I come over

Melissa: what's wrong

Me: can I come over I can't stand to be in the same room as him

Melissa: of course and Alex is over to

When I got to Melissa's house we went up to her room.

Alex: what's been going on

Me: I don't want to talk about it

Melissa: you can come over when ever we are here

We talked, watched movies and played some video games.

It got late and I left after they all fell asleep.

I walked back to the house. I walked inside no lights were on so I thought everyone went to sleep. So I sneaked upstairs.

Cody: where the hell were you

Me: why do you care because sure as hell all you care about is rubbing in if you are right

Cody: I don't want you to get hurt

Me: why do you care

Cody: I just do it's complicated

Me: what's complicated is you

Then I slammed my door shut. He made me so mad.

Then drew came knocking on my door.

Me: go away

Drew: it drew

Me: come in

Drew: I'm sorry I was a bitch to you

Me: it's fine

Drew: you got to cut Cody some slack

Me: why should I

Drew: he's been through a lot the past couple of years

Me: like what

Drew: let him tell you that

Me: thanks

Drew: it may seem like he doesn't care. But he does he cares do much about you. He doesn't want you to get hurt he wants you to be safe.

Me: thanks

Then I knocked on Cody's door after Drew left.

Cody: what do you want

Me: I'm sorry

Cody: it's my fault I got to attached

Me: it's not your fault it's mine I figured if I pushed you away you would just give up and leave me

Cody: dani I told you I will never give up on you

Me: I just came to say I'm sorry

Cody: I'm sorry to I was being to overprotective

Me: no it's kinda cute in a way

Then Cody kissed me.

I pushed Cody off.
