Avery smiled at Chloe, who smiled back – too business-like to feel embarrassed and blush.
“I found the perfect place.”
“Really?”
She nodded. “In your price range and everything.”
Avery smiled. Even the simplest things like that made no sense to her. She wasn’t cut out for ‘normal life.’
“Great! When can I move in?”
Chloe gave her a tolerant smile. “You have to look at the apartment first.”
“Why?”
Chloe sighed. “Just humour me.”
“Sure.” Avery said with another smile.
“Good. Do you want to go now?”
Avery nodded. “Okay.”
