Dodgeball

It had been about a week since the "glitter incident" and Lance had encountered few problems. No more real fights with Keith. Him and Allura had become more chill around eachother. Things were cool.

Lance walked to school with Keith, (like he did most days). During P.E., after changing while desperately trying to avoid looking at the fine specimen that is Keith Kogane. They lined up on a the half court line as Haggar paced in front of them.
"Today we will be playing the dreaded game that you weaklings know- as DODGE BALL."
The group of sleep deprived teens ghasped in horror at the words left her mouth. One of them fell to the floor. Lotor was the only one happy about it. "Finally, a chance to teach that punk little twink a lesson." He mumbled under his breath.

Haggar sat down a line of red dodgeballs in the middle of the court and read out the rules from a sheet of paper. "Everyone to the right of me, get on that side of the court. Everyone on the left, that side." All of the students awkwardly shuffled to the correct side.

Thankfully for Lance, Keith was on his team. There was no way that Lance could hit that cute face with a dodgeball. He watched Keith calmly jog towards their side of the court. Hair dangling in his face, almost covering his deep purple eyes. 'Just understanding how attractive he is doesn't make it a crush. I mean, maybe it's a little crush, but it's not like you're in love with him or anything, it's gonna go away in no time' he assured himself.

With a loud toot from Haggar's whistle, the game began. A few people got out in the first few seconds of the game. Lotor was almost exclusively trying to hit Keith and Lance. They dodged and weaved away from his attacks. Most of their attacks were targeted at Lotor, but he was fast.
Pidge and Hunk saw this brutal attack and formulated a plan.

First, Pidge ran around the outside of the court, grabbing all of the balls that had gone out of bounds. Hunk helped the people who were still in by catching the balls that flew at them. Pidge ran back to Hunk with her collection of dodgeballs. While Hunk continued to catch balls thrown at their team, Pidge snuck up close to the other team.

Because of her small size, nobody noticed her approaching. Lotor was completely focused on Lance and Keith, who were struggling against Lotor and his friends. They had gotten a few out, mainly from catching. Lotor was kind of ridiculously good at dodgeball.

While Lotor wasn't looking, Pidge whipped about 15 balls at him. Pidge really went for quantity over quality. Many of the balls missed him completely, a few hit some of the others on his team, one almost hit someone on Pidge's team. One, however, successfully hut Lotor right in the chest. He fell to the floor dramatically, making his hair fly up in  5 different directions.

The rest of Lotor's team was out in no time now that Keith and Lance weren't being constantly attacked by a creep with good hair. Pidge kicked a ball at Lotor, who was monologueing on the floor. "They really don't hurt that much, Lotor."
He groaned dramatically.
"You will pay for this, small one."
"Geez, it's been 3 years, you should know my name by now."

Lance practically forced Keith to drink water once the game was over. "Hey, I don't wanna have to face Shiro when you faint again." He shrugged, thrusting a bottle of water at Keith. 'God, he even looks good after that. He should look gross and sweaty, not even more attractive.'

After a lot of consideration, Lance determined that yes, he did have a teeny, tiny, little crush on Keith. One little crush on a guy doesn't necessarily make you gay, or bi, or whatever. It's just a straight guy, with a crush on his friend. Lance had made a few mental pro and con lists to find out weather or not Keith was even worth thinking about.
Pros of Keith:
Hot
Short
Cute
Strong
Cute dog
Soft skin
Cool
Edgy
Smells like lavender
Cute laugh
Good at cello
Nice lips
Long hair
Smart
Good artist
Cuddly

Cons of Keith:
Sometimes mean
Doesn't know who Lady Gaga is
Mullet
Hot headed
Thinks he's ALL THAT
Slight bed-hog

Clearly the pros outweigh the cons. Lance really didn't know what to do. His feelings would hopefully go away on their own, but what if they didn't? Keith doesn't like guys. Frankly, he was unsure if Keith liked anyone. He couldn't really imagine Keith having a crush, or being in a relationship. Maybe he should just straight up ask Keith what his sexuality was. Whatever, at that moment, all Lance really felt like doing, was drinking hot chocolate and taking a nap.
