Chapter 26

Spencer's POV:
"I want them found immediately! How could you lose track of them?!" I yell at my security team over the phone. Never before has anything like this happened.

"Sir, they are good, but we will find them. You have a team watching the twins, which is good, but give us 24 hours and we should have them located."

I curl my hand into a fist. "You better."

Aria's POV:
My Dad takes a deep breath, and starts to tell a tale.

"We didn't know that there were two babies until recently. All we knew at the time was that we had lost a baby, and that a doctor was giving us you. It wasn't until later we found out who your parents were, and why we got your the way we did. Your birth parents are terrible people, father being a mafia boss, and mother just as bad as him. They want something from you, know, and have come to try and find you, luckily you were in Spain. Just know we love you and wish we could have protected both of you. Honestly, I think you two need to talk to Michael and Spencer, they are the ones who have the information, and have teams watching you to keep you safe. And they'd do a better job. "

"If that's the case, why wouldn't they have said anything in Spain?" I ask, still in shock from the situation.

"They wanted to give us the chance to tell you about the twin thing, thinking about how that part needed to come from us. Trust me, they weren't to pleased about having to leave you alone in Spain either, especially without being able to talk to you, but somethings happening and they want to make sure you guys are protected." My mom speaks up, tears going down her eyes.

I just feel like I'm drowning, so much hard information to process and it's just all hitting me at once. Nick can tell, and even though he's just been standing in the corner, decides to make a move over to us.

"Me and Mrs Shaw, I think I'm going to take the twins out for a bit. They need to be around something normal and to digest everything. I will take them to you later." Nick informs my parents, while making Kayla and I stand up.

"Yes of course dear, just make sure they are safe." My mom says, giving me a hug in the process.

I look over and see my dad hugging Kayla, whispering in her ear, "You are one of us now, we're sorry we didn't know about you earlier."

I can see the tears running down her eyes and how much that meant to her.

Kayla and I exchange hugs with the other parent, and then Nick drags us out of the apartment. The first thing he does after he closes the door is pulling us in for a group hug.

"That was intense, and I need you both to know that I'm here. But now I haven't seen you in forever, and basically haven't seen Kayla in person so you have to succumb to Nicky time!"

Kayla and I start laughing, knowing that Nick will lighten this mood. So we start to head to the mall so Nick can get ready for a date he has tomorrow, it was tonight but he decided we needed a girls night in.

While everything is really fun, I desperately need to know more about our parent situation from Spencer, and even though I don't want to see him right now, I need answers.
