Chapter 15 : Alliance

[ AJ’s POV ]

{ In the bus }

The stay was over. Everybody was exhausted, they were all sleeping, except me and Lauren. She was resting her head on Kevin’s shoulder and playing with the snow globe he has given her yesterday. I didn’t know why but this made me sad somehow. I was bored so I invited her to come with me. We have moved to the back because I was sitting with Eli.

“Do you want me to teach you how to read people’s mind?” I whispered in her ear and she shook her head to reply.

“Look at them, who do you think look the most suspicious?” I pointed at Soohyun and William. She shrugged.

“None of them, they are sleeping.”

“You suck!” she laughed quietly.

“Okay, okay, I’m serious now. When people cross their arms that mean that they feel uncomfortable or upset...” then I continued to give her other examples.

“Can you read me?” she looked in my eyes and flashed a smile.

I looked away to avoid her eye contact.

“It doesn’t work for everybody…” I lied and she pouted.

Kiseop was waiting for us at the bus station. When we arrived, Emy rushed into him and introduced Jun as her boyfriend but this one has already run away. This little is such a coward…

[ Kevin’s POV ]

Three days after

{ At Bonjour }

Kiseop was healed and the girls were still working at the café. 

“Hoon, can you bring me some flour, please?” Eli asked Hoon.

Hoon went to the cellar and climbed the stairs while holding a huge bag of flour.

“WOW!” Lauren and Emy were staring at his arms’ muscles.

“Is it heavy?” Emy asked with excitement.

“Can I touch?” Lauren pointed at his arm and he smiled lightly.

Jun saw the whole scene, I bet he was jealous just like me… We both looked down at our skinny body and sighed. I need some help, but who can rescue me? Kibum! I should have thought of him earlier. He’s my BFF but also a fitness coach! With his help, I’ll be able to have a strong and toned body within two months.

“Kibum, I want a sexy body. Can you help me?”

“What? But you said that abs and stuff are superficial, as long as you’re healthy you didn’t need to…”

“It was before!”

“Okay, okay what’s her name?”

“What are you talking about?”

“You know what I mean, tell me!”

“Lauren,” I whispered.

“Send me a photo.”

“Why?”

“Do it or I won’t help you.”

Seriously, sometimes I wonder how he had become my best friend… 

Jaeseop is been acting weird around Lauren lately. They don’t argue anymore as they did at the beginning and got even closer. Thinking back that night when they “slept” together is getting on my nerves. Lauren explained to me that he was just keeping her company because she was scared. Even though, I trust her, this is still annoying me. Besides, everybody knows that Eli had feelings for Emy. Things are getting complicated… I think that I need somebody to be on my side too. Eli and Jaeseop are good friends, which mean that they support each other. I have no choice so I’ll take Jun...
