The car journey was long and stuffy. We were all bored out of our minds, sweating and cramped. Jack and I cuddled up in the corner of the people carrier, having a whispered conversation, getting to know each other better. Jack was so sweet, kissing me, telling me how beautiful I was and listening, but I couldn't stop thinking about Alfie.

In the next row was Caspar, Marcus and Finn. Caspar and Marcus were having a whispered conversation, seemingly very important, and I realised it must be about what had happened. Finn had his headphones in but I couldn't tell if he was asleep or just had his eyes closed.

In the next row was Jim, Tanya and Niomi. Niomi and Tanya were chatting animatedly while Jim scrolled through his phone looking bored. I couldn't blame him, Niomi and Tanya were probably talking about makeup, hair and pamper sessions.

In the next row was Troye, Tyler and Louis. Louis and Tyler were making polite conversation while Troye slept kind of draped across Tyler's lap.

In the next row was me, Jack and Dan. Dan was talking to Phil through the seat while Jack and I acted all lovey dovey.

In the next row, Elise was asleep on Joe's shoulder while he played with her hair. Aw. Joe really needed a girlfriend, he hadn't had one in a while and Elise was perfect and it looked like Joe really liked her. Phil was beside them, talking to Dan through the seat.

The driver sat up front next to Louise, who had come late. I didn't know the driver's name but he apparently worked for the agency that we'd be doing business for in America.

We got onto the airplane, using the same seats we'd sat in on the car. In front of us, I could hear Elise anxiously repeating "I really hate planes, I really hate planes, Joe!" While Joe had his arms round her, rubbing her back. He really did like her.

The flight went smoothly, Jack and I fell asleep on each other and when we woke up we were in America! We all made our way out and into the people carrier that would bring us to our hotel.

The Americans, {fgs I know that Troye is Australian. Well, actually, he's from South Africa. But I frigging know he's Australian, but for the time being he's living in America. So me saying the 'Americans' is easier than saying 'the American and the boy who was born in South Africa and lived in Australia and is now living in America'. Thank you for freaking out on me, Troye fangirls} and Troye, left the people carrier to pick up their car and drive home, and Jack and Finn had a meeting, so the car was considerably emptier. I talked with Louise, a.k.a SprinkleOfGlitter, and she was lovely. I had a feeling we'd become best friends.

When we were about an hour away from the hotel however, everything went wrong. Out of nowhere, a guy with a gun leaped out and started to shoot the people carrier. Everyone screamed and panicked, and I almost took a panic attack, but managed to hold myself together and dial the police. They were on their way. Our driver ushered us all out of the car. Matt protected Louise, who was crying, Jim shielded Tanya and Joe had his arms around Elise, blocking the guns range from hitting her.

I heard sirens in the distance and everyone relaxed. Elise slipped out from behind Joe to give him a hug when the gunman took his last shot. It flew through the air, straight towards Elise, who had look of utmost horror on her face. Our group started screaming, and Joe launched himself in front of the bullet, which hit him in the arm, but Elise was OK.

But Joe fell to the ground, bleeding heavily from his arm, unconscious.

I started to freak out. My brother had just been shot!

Anxiety and horror started to suffocate me and images swam before me, all disorientated and blurry.

The world spun before me and the sound of Elise's piercing scream as she ran to my brothers body and flung herself over it as if to protect it, even though the gunman was gone, echoed in my head.

I started to get dizzy. My knees buckled.

Before I could process what was happened, Id blacked out and fallen to the floor.

Damn panic attacks.

Dam gunman.

Damn life.

A/N

Can I get your opinion on suspects? I already know who the murderer is, but do you? Remember, as well as the obvious choices, it could be the person least expected.

I just want to know I've written it well, as I intended.

Maybe it could be the best friend of the person who was hurt?

Maybe someone who was attacked?

Maybe someone who pretended to be a victim?

Maybe someone who's rarely mentioned?

Who could it be?

Comment your suspicions

please!

By the way, Elise is not based on me. I'm not that self- centred.

Thanks! :) xx
