1 Hour Later
It's now getting dark with the colors of dusk fading away to a dark blue in the sky.
Takoma and Chikia ended their speech, the mini-wedding was over. Everyone headed to their cars, but Kodoku and Jikan had more plans to talk more.
Kodoku and Jikan walked to the same path they took when they got to the party, they walked slow though, since they were pretty exhausted.
"Long day, huh?" Kodoku asked.
"Yeah..." Jikan replied.
Kodoku stepped in front on Jikan and turned around slowly, making Jikan slow down her steps.
"Jikan..."
"Yeah?"
"Your name is, Jikan, right?"
"Yeah."
"My name is, Kodoku." Kodoku tried to not sound weird at this moment. "My name means Solitude, or, alone."
"Your name does mean that?" Jikan replied. "I didn't realize that."
"Yeah," Kodoku said. "Well, your name is Jikan, that means..."
"Time."
"Combine both of our names, you have Kodoku Jikan, or Time of Solitude."
"That sounds about right."
"So I was wondering if..." Kodoku almost stuttered. "If we can Time of Solitude, at homecoming."
Jikan gasped, "You're asking if, you and I, can go to homecoming?" Jikan started to tear up.
"Yes, I am, just you and me, at homecoming."
Jikan put her arms around Kodoku and hugged him tightly while crying in joy. "Of course!"
Kodoku smiled and laughed, he hugged Jikan tighter and starting tearing up.
The two let go of each other after a while of hugging.
"I never thought this day would ever come." Jikan said.
"Well, I guess now it has come." Kodoku said.
The scenery was getting darker, making it harder to see outside. Fortunately enough, the lamp posts turned on around the path they were standing in.
"I think that's our cue that we should get to your parents' car before it gets really dark." Kodoku said.
"Yeah, let's go." Jikan said.
Kodoku and Jikan continued walking up the path to get to Jikan's parents' car.
"Do you want my number?" Kodoku asked.
"Sure!" Jikan excitingly replied. "I was about to ask you the same!"
Kodoku and Jikan pulled their phones out and gave each other their numbers, their instagrams, and their twitters.
"Oh, we both have Samsung S9 phones!" Jikan noticed.
"Oh yeah!" Kodoku laughed.
The two then arrived Jikan's parents' car.
"Did you have fun, kids?" Gotu said when we got to the car.
Kodoku and Jikan looked at each other and smiled.
"We had lots of fun!" Kodoku said excitingly.
"We sure did!" Jikan added.
"That's good to hear, hop in the car." Gotu said. "Especially you, Kodoku, I'm sure your parents are waiting for you at home."
"No, it's fine." Kodoku said, "But still, I'm sure they're waiting for me."
Kodoku went to the right door of the car and sat down. Jikan sat down on the left, but she scooted herself to the middle to sit right next to Kodoku. Jikan then leaned her head on Kodoku's left shoulder and yawned.
I'll wake you up when we arrive at my house.
1 Hour Later
It's really dark for 7 o'clock.
Kodoku was still awake while Jikan was still sleeping. Kodoku was getting closer to his house, he silently directed Nami to where his house was.
"My house is that one." Kodoku pointed to his white house, looks very modern.
"That white house?" Nami asked.
"Yeah, you can just stop here." Kodoku said.
Nami parked the car next to the curb in front of Kodoku's house.
"Jikan, I'm leaving now." Kodoku put his hand on her right leg.
Jikan rose up off of Kodoku's left shoulder, "You're leaving?"
"Wait!" Jikan opened her door and went outside.
Kodoku then opened his door and went outside the car.
Jikan went over to Kodoku and looked at him standing still, "I'll see you tomorrow?"
"I'll see you tomorrow, Jikan. I promise." Kodoku said and brought her close to him to hug her before the day ends.
Kodoku kissed Jikan on the right side of her hair, Jikan smiled.
"I'll see you tomorrow too, I promise, Kodoku."
The two let go of each other, Kodoku slowly walked to the front door of his house. He looked back to see Jikan go inside the car from the right side. Jikan looked out her window and Kodoku opened his house door. Kodoku looked back.
Kodoku and Jikan waved bye to each other at the same time. Nami drived the car off away from Kodoku's house. Kodoku waved until he couldn't see the car anymore.
I'll see you tomorrow, Jikan.
