Kodoku walked to school, feeling fresh from the acceptable amount of sleep he got.
As usual, Kodoku walked through the gates and saw Jikan with her friend Anjou under a cherry blossom tree in the courtyard. This time, Kodoku walked straight to the tree to Jikan.
"Hi, Jikan!" Kodoku waved at her.
"Kodoku!" Jikan ran to Kodoku and hugged him tightly.
"Told you I'd be back." Kodoku said.
"You sure kept your promise." Jikan said.
The two let go of each other.
Kodoku looked to his left to see Anjou standing still, doing off at the other students walking to the school buildings.
"Hey, Anjou." Kodoku snapped his fingers in front of Anjou's eyes.
Anjou looked at Kodoku, "Oh yeah, uh, hello?!" Anjou didn't know what to feel.
"Are you okay?" Kodoku asked.
"Y-Yeah..." Anjou said. "Ah, I'm... Okay... I guess?"
"Look..." Kodoku put his left hand on Anjou's right shoulder. "Tell me, what's wrong."
"Nothing's wrong." Anjou brushed off Kodoku's hand and walked off to the building to the right of the two.
"It's pretty obvious something's up with her." Jikan said.
"I know, I tested her on that one, she definitely has something in her mind." Kodoku said.
The warning bell rung around the school, students that were hanging out around the courtyard had to break to go to class.
"I guess we go to our home room." Kodoku said.
"Yeah, let's go." Jikan said.
The two started walking to their home room together.
They then arrive to their home room, to be filled with lots of people talking.
Kodoku went to his desk on the second to last row in the center of the class. Jikan sat to the left of Kodoku, since her desk was conveniently assigned next to Kodoku.
The tardy bell rung and all of the students of the class went to their assigned desks.
"All right class, since it's Thursday, we are going to start with advisory today." Sensei Rukan said.
Anjou was late to class and appeared in the egress of the classroom. Everyone looked straight at her, even Kodoku and Jikan.
"Anjou, you're late, please take a seat." Sensei Rukan said.
Anjou walked very slow in the middle of the classroom. Kodoku saw people stalk her every move while she walked to her desk.
Eventually, Anjou got to her desk, just two seats in front of Kodoku. She quickly sat down and got out her notebook. The guy sitting right in front of Kodoku, he has never seen that guy in the class.
The guy is small, long frizzy hair. He kind of resembled of what a high school shut-in would look like to Kodoku.
Kodoku got his phone out of his right pocket, and he got Jikan's Instagram private message chat on.
I feel like something is going to happen. - Kodoku texted in the chat.
People are whispering about her, I can hear it. - Jikan replied.
