Chapter 41

Hey guys Im back sooner than expected.Just a quick announcement here,as soon as this fanfiction has been completed,my priority fanfiction will go to my Haikyuu fanfic that has not have much work done on it yet.The sequel on this fanfiction will of course becoming my second priority fanfiction,but I have to apologize in advance that the updates might come even slower than those for this book.However,my one month promise still holds,it will not take longer than a month.During my holidays,I might prewrite a couple of chapters in advance as well,but please be patient and do not rush me for the updates as much as I know that you really badly want it.Thank you!

Shiho's POV

I opened my eyes finding myself in pitch dark room.There was no noise anywhere,so I pretty much think that I have again been held in captive.No,I will not yield.Not again.

"Shinichi!"I screamed at the top of my lungs,gripping the sheets tighter (AHEM AHEM AHEM THERE WONT BE SMUT SADLY FOR YALL HORNY BASTARDS HAHA)

The door burst open,with that same concerned figure walking straight to my bed.

"Shhhh Shi calm down,I'm here its me.No one can hurt you here"He ruffled my hair gently,his hand gently patting my back.

"Sorry..I woke up here and I thought I was held captive in that dark dungeon again and then I like I-"I blabbered on and on.

"Shhhhhh Shi its fine.I'm here.Hattori and Kaito are just outside and nothing bad will happen to you.Just calm down nothing and no one can hurt you okay.Do you want to come out for a bit?"He proposed as I gave him an answering nod.Its been a while since I've seen much light and I miss those idiots anyway,not that I would admit it.

Shinichi's POV

I led Shiho outside where the two other idiots were lying sprawled on the couch,sound asleep.

"Well...It has been a tiring day for us all so I guess they deserve a little break."I told her sheepishly upon seeing that atonished look on her face.Bringing her to the dining room,I started work on cooking dinner for the two sound asleep bastards while telling Shiho all that happened.However,she was still in shock about much of what is going on,so I skipped the part of how Yataka held her life in his filthy hands.She seemed interested in the research I've been doing though,so I promised her that I would take her to the lab we have here after dinner,sealing my promise with a soft kiss to her forehead.A gentleman shall keep to his word.

With the time we had,Shiho had also told me about how it was like for her when she was still in a coma.It did involve certain stops and breaks during the conversation itself,but she seemed much calmer after finishing her tale.By then,I had finished cooking dinner for us all and the two bastards,upon smelling Mac and Cheesehad strolled into the dining room as well.Giving out the shares of food,all 4 of us sat together as we ate.Its been such a long since all 4 of us were able to sit down and have a proper meal together.Indeed,I do miss the old times.

After finishing up,I told the other two of them "Guys,can you take care of what you have to do first?I'll take Shiho around this place for a while,but afterwards she still needs to get some rest.Shes still recovering.On the other hand,I do need to finish up my current section of research,so Hattori mind brewing me a cuppa?Thanks bros!"

"I'll do it for you man.And yeah I'll start hitting my contacts up with an alias later,but please Shinichi don't overwork yourself too okay.After finishing up get some rest"Kaito said,the same sentiments echoed by Hattori and Shiho moments after.

"Okay okay all 3 of you are ganging up on me"I forced a laugh as I took Shiho's hand in mind and walked towards the lab.This lab was the pride of Yataka-It boasted 2 levels high,with many different lab animals and chemicals,a huge garden and a radiation room.As soon as Shiho stepped foot into the lab,that amazed look became one of my most reasured memories.Indeed,the first time that I had entered,I was,too,extremely shocked and mesmerized by the beauty of this lab.It would definitely be a haven for scientists and inventors.

She strolled imediately to the rack of chemicals,taking bottles and bottles out and rambling to me how rare and expensive they were.She did the exact same to the animals before walking out to the garden.There were many plants and there was even a greenhouse there.She sat down on the swing,gazing at the pretty night sky.The stars in the sky twinkle like her eyes did.Knowing she would be there for quiet some time,I gently closed the door leading out there and made my way back to the living room where I started work,sipping the cuppa Kaito had brewed for me.

Turning on my laptop,I recorded facts and the history of the Black Organisation as well as the other possible organisation that might be affiliated to it.It was a long while later when Shiho came over to peck my forehead before heading into her room,promising to get some rest after all that excitement.

The moment her door slammed close,another opened.
