"Uhm," I lick my lips in slight fear, "Do you feel that cold breeze?"
Roman rose a brow and nodded, "Yeah, why?"
"Well," I get up and dust myself off, "cold is usually a sign of a ghost-"
"A ghost?" He shrieked in terror, but I covered his mouth.
"Yes, but not all ghosts are bad. Some just tend to watch over us."
I take a step back to let him process and he scratches his head, "but why would this ghost be here?"
"I dunno, she's female-"
"How do you know she's female? Wh-can you see her? How'd you know there was a ghost here?" He screamed with fear and, once again, I covered his mouth.
"Shut up, scaredy-cat." I hissed, "and maybe I'll tell you."
He whimpered with fear and I nodded, sitting back on the floor. He followed in suit and stared at me, expectingly. "Okay," I cleared my throat, "I'm a sensitive. I see spirits."
His eyes widened in shock but went back to fear driven. I look back to the spirit and she smiles gently to Roman. I knit my brows together in thought, looking back to Roman, "Do you have someone on the other side that's female?"
His eyes well with tears, "Yes." He gulps down a lump in his throat, "My Mother."
"Oh jeeze. I'm so sorry."
"It's okay, she died when I was an infant. Some driver-"
His eyes connected with mine and he sobbed. I awkwardly watched him as he doubled over, shaking. I scooted over to him on my knees and cradled him in my arms. "It's okay, Roman. She's watching over you, always comforting you." I murmured and rubbed his back.
He nodded and hugged me back, balling his fists against the back of my shirt. This was my second encounter with Roman and it was about as awkward as the first. I stroked his silky caramel hair and kept myself from humming.
Once he finally pulled away, he looked like a mime with tear stains. I held back my laughter as he gave me a confused look. "What is it?" He got up and looked in his mirror, "oh heavens me-"
He started to laugh which caused me to join in. I covered my mouth as he sulked in his arms. "It looks like stage makeup for an apparition," he cried out, looking back in the mirror.
The comment made us both stop and look at each other. I glance around the room and nod, "she is gone."
He nods and looks up to the ceiling before sighing. "Well I better clean this off of my face before Logan questions if I went to another party." He heads to the door then looks back at me, "see ya later, spider."
"See you, Roman Empire." I watch him leave before I head into my room to change.
I close my door and slip off my previous outfit to change into comfy pajamas. I grab the notepad I set on my dresser earlier and head to my desk. I take a seat and scribble down when I started to remember.
Once I finished that, I reluctantly gave in to doing my psychology homework. It wasn't fun since I was working with something I have no knowledge of, but a degree is a degree. I scratched my scalp and made sure to do this semi-quick. The ghost experience drained me.
I need the well rested sleep.
