I sat in Damien's room on the floor, watching him rummage through his dresser drawers for clothes for me. Most of them were torn or altered and it was hard for him to pick something for me to sleep in. "Hey, Damien?" I mustered up finally after a few minutes.
"Hmm?" He grunted, not looking up.
"Let me find some. It'll be easier for the both of us."
He stopped and looked at me, "...no"
I got up as he moved aside and started to look for some clothes. He moved over to look for some blankets and spare pillows but I just pushed around some clothes til I found a shirt and pajama pants. "Found some clothes," I held them up as I walked out, "gunna head out to the bathroom."
I made my way to the bathroom and closed the door behind me. As I got dressed, I noticed myself in the mirror. I cautiously make my way over to my approaching reflection.
I noticed I looked...healed. My bags weren't bulging out under my eyes. My lavender irises seemed brighter than I remembered along with my skin looking healthier. I couldn't believe how healthy I looked. Never once in my life have I looked this healthy.
I finished adjusting my shirt and walked back into Damien's room. My bed was set up on the floor but he was laying in it. "What are you doing?" I asked and he looked up at me."
"Not letting you have the bed." He told me before looking back at his phone.
"Why?"
"You deserve the floor."
I blink and nod, climbing into his bed. I curl up in the blankets and look at him. After a bit, his glance met mine and he frowned, "What?"
"Nothing."
"Okay," I mumble and look up to the ceiling.
"Just don't sleep." He muttered and I nod, closing my eyes.I was tapping the letters on the keyboard and surfing through websites just to find something. It was all a blur but my fingertips, so I had no vision of what I was looking for but I know, somehow, I found it. I start typing more to some unknown emails before quickly rushing to find some bags.
I was relieved and happy over whatever I was doing. I started to pack up my clothes into a few bags, stuffing them in like I had no time to.
Yet, I stopped before I finished and saw the mists gather before rushing up into my face with a demon-like face. I go to scream but I sit up in bed.
Panting, I look around and see Deceit being swarmed by spirits. "Leave him alone," I plead in a whisper.
I didn't want to wake the other but I needed to keep the spirits away because I saw them start to seep into him. "No!" I cried aloud before falling off the bed.
The spirits were startled and vanished once Damien woke up. I groaned and waved at him, "Morning"
"What the hell..?" He mumbled and rubbed his head.
"Just fell out bed, sorry." I lied and pushed myself up.
"Sure,"
"Time for breakfast..?"
