A couple of weeks passed and I was finally a healthy enough weight for Lady Tsunade to discharge me. She had set up a home for me to stay in and promised to help me out, giving me permission to live in the village as one of it's own. I finally had a place to call home. Shikamaru had stayed with me the whole time and I had gotten so use to the ninja. He told me all about the villagers and his team. He talked to me about all his friends and by the time the weeks in the hospital had passed, I felt like I knew all of them personally.

Shikamaru had helped me find my place and we set it up. Doing some grocery shopping with some money Tsunade lent me. She said I could pay it back when I start to go on missions. We were currently walking around the village.

"Shikamaru!" It was a blonde guy who appeared in front of us a huge smile lit across his face. He was dawned in an orange jumpsuit and I knew this was his friend Naruto.

"You must be Kira? I'm N-"

"Naruto. " I finished his sentence for him. He nodded happy I knew who he was.

"I'm gonna be the hokage of this village soon. Believe it." I chuckled Shikamaru said he 100% knew he would be and I trusted his opinion.

We were all walking towards the training ground. I was going to watch them train for a bit. Not knowing anything about myself I didn't even know if I was a ninja before I came here. According to Tsunade I have good chakra control. So she thought I was a kunoichi in my forgotten past. I honestly couldn't verify if I was but was excited to know she would get Iruka sensei to help train me as he was a teacher in the academy.

I sat down on the grass watching as they warmed up. They would be sparring not that shikamaru looked excited for the practice. I was though, I wanted to see what he was capable of. I laughed at the look of boredom plastered across his face. As their sparring started, I was surprised at how fast Naruto was as he produced multiple clones, in a split second he was in front of Shikamaru. Before he could touch him, he froze abruptly all of his clones did. One by one they disappeared until it was only the really one left.

"Not fair!" Naruto yelled fist inches away from Shikamaru' face. I frowned obviously missing something. Looking closely I saw what looked like shadows wrapped around Naruto's body. Shikamaru just rolled his eyes laying down on the ground already bored with their training. When he put his hands behind his head, his jutsu broke. Naruto jerked forward off balance landing roughly on top of Shikamaru. I let out a loud chortle at the sight as Naruto struggled to get off of the annoyed boy underneath of him.

"It's not funny!" I ignored them clutching my side. They were a pair of idiots.

Naruto had to leave promising he'd hang out with us soon.

The rest of the afternoon me and Shikamaru spent on the training ground, not training. Just laying down looking up at the clouds.

"Do you really not remember anything from your past." I turned towards his voice not expecting him to be so close or for him to be looking right at me. I looked back up at the sky nodding.

"I woke up alone inside this cave like structure, it was pretty torn apart... I couldn't remember who I was or how I got there...." I frowned at the memory.

"I started walking from then just walking and walking... That was less than a few weeks before I found konoha." He listened nodding along to what I was saying not interrupting once.

"Theres these two things though.... A man... Or maybe it's a woman in a surgical mask...a figure always leaning over me...." I shivered recalling the 'memory'

"That's why you hate masks" I nodded they were creepy.

"I don't know if it's a dream but the image is so vivid yet not at the same time."I looked to see him deep in thought processing my words.

"What if this figure is a parent?" I shook my head, the uneasy feeling present when I thought about the person.

"No!....no, not a parent." Shikamaru reached forward and wiped at my cheek. When he pulled away his hand was wet. My hand flew up to my cheek to see I was crying, I didn't even realize.

"You're safe now." I smiled up at him looking back up at the clouds. I truly felt it when I was with him.

"What's the second thing?"

I couldn't explain it properly.

"An overwhelming sense of sadness.... I can hear someone crying... like they lost someone..."

I felt Shikamaru reach down and squeeze my hand.

"Sorry I asked.." I shook my head sending him a small smile. I was just happy to get it off of my chest.

........

*Months pass* (lazy)

I had gotten, some call it, too close to Shikamaru during the 8 months that flew by in what felt like a second. If he wasn't on a mission he was with me and if I wasn't training with Iruka-sensei I was with him. I felt safe with him, he was the first person to help me heck he even named me. I couldn't not feel safe with the guy. Some people often teased us saying we were like a couple which didn't upset me. I had grown to like the spiky haired boy and it felt like he felt the same... I was kind of obsessed with him.....

I was surprisingly good at controlling chakra which Tsunade already figured. I also had pretty good reflexes and was decent in fighting. Iruka sensei said I was almost at the level of a chunin possibly higher if I kept training.

I was currently in the hokage office helping Shizune sort through some scrolls Tsunade needed when a ninja popped out of nowhere giving me a heart attack.

"Shizune. I'm back from the mission."

"Kakashi San, Lady Tsunade is with Naruto at the moment." The silver haired ninja took one look at me, looked away only to do a double take. Half of his face was covered behind a mask and I felt a bit uneasy. Why do so many people wear masks!

"Kami?" (pronounced Ka-Me)

He was staring at me like he knew who I was but I shook my head after looking behind me to see if there was anyone else in the room.

"I'm Kira?"

"Kami it's me ... Kakashi.." he grabbed my shoulders roughly. His grip was so hard it elicited a small cry. Tsunade walked in the door with a tired looking Shikamaru and Naruto trailing behind him. I pulled myself roughly out of his grasp and practically sprinted towards Shikamaru. I grabbed a hold of his hand eyeing 'Kakashi' cautiously. Tsunade looked at our interlocked fingers before turning to the masked man.

"Kakashi, what did you need?" He obviously wasn't paying attention and kept staring.

"Kakashi-sensei your freaking her out. Actually you're freaking us all out. Stop staring.." Naruto yelled shocking the man out of his state.

"I-" he seemed confused as to where he was in the moment. The way he was looking at me was like he had seen a ghost.

"Kakashi?" He just shook his head glancing at me again.

"Shikamaru take Kira away."

"Kira?" Kakashi seemed shocked that was my name. He stepped forward coming towards me but stopped when Shikamaru who had kept quiet put himself between me and the silver haired nin.

"Shikamaru." Tsunade-sama voice was harsh and he nodded gently pulling me by the hand and out of the office.

He pulled me down the hall and out of the hokage building. He seemed in a daze and he led me far away from where we just were.

"Shikamaru." He didn't listen just kept dragging me.

"Shikamaru stop." He did making my body slam into the back of him. He wasnt phased by this but he was breathing roughly.

"Why was Kakashi acting like that?" I shrugged. It was like the man knew me.

"I don't know."

"I don't want him near you.....That's the first time he's looked like that. So lost. It was creepy." He looked down at me as I stared up at him. He moved a piece of stray hair from my face tucking it behind my ear. I blushed at his actions watching a small smile play at his lips.

"Let's get you home okay?" I nodded noticing our hands were still intertwined as we walked to my house. I could get use to this.
