Hide and Squeak

I missed writing! And I’ve seen I have over 880+ Reads!

RECAP:

Kyle asked Arnold something and I took this opportunity to run.

“Why is she running?” You asked.

I am running for three reasons; One, Kyle makes me uncomfortable, Two I have a headache, And Three I have to pee really bad.

“Where did she go?” Kyle asked.

Fudgesicles!

Chapter 10:

Okay running away that’s easy but running away having the bladder the size of a baby chicken is hard!

Wait, do chickens even Pee?

Okay that’s beside the point, after running away I ran straight to the bathroom and when I was finished with, you know, releasing the water fall, I washed my hands.

Okay problem number one is done.

 Now if I could only escape without getting caught.

Looking around the white painted and sharpie graffiti infested bathroom I spotted a great escaping mechanism.

There’s a window directly above the sink and it gives me a great idea!

I leaned over the sink and carefully opened up the window.

‘Okay Kelly think and breathe squirrel’ I whispered to myself, ‘ I mean I did it once and I can do it again.’

I put my hands on the sink in front of me and tried to concentrate.

I took a breath and opened my eyes, the tingly feeling began to take over me and then I was falling.

Holy-Cheese I’m falling!

Then suddenly I hit the ground, but my stupid tail broke my fall but it hurt a freakin’ lot!

Gathering my strength I backed up, ran, and launched myself up on the sink. My little squirrel legs look so cute! Oh this squirrel needs a tan!

Okay I can worry about that later, I hopped and pulled myself up on the window and jumped to the oak tree that was conveniently right in front.

I crawled up to the nearest branch to my right and I see the track field and on said field was Arthur talking to Jeremy, yeah you know the boy I flipped over my shoulders in the cafeteria, yeah well him.

I quickly rushed over there to them avoiding flying soccer balls and footballs. When I made it to Arthur I climbed up on his pants leg and to say I scarred him was a bit of an understatement because he went into full-fledged panic mode.

He screamed like a professional scary movie actress, yes you read that right, actress.

He started shaking his leg and now here I am getting dizzy and feeling like I could barf.

Trying to get out of this flag position I am in I hurriedly climbed his leg like a mountain and an attempt to make him realize it was me.

Well I was going to do that until I smelled an amazing smell, it was like a fruity paradise. I couldn’t help my little squirrel self and I went to the source, which was in Jeremy’s pocket, so I jumped off the screaming Arthur onto the laughing Jeremy.

And let’s just say he wasn’t laughing anymore when I climbed into his pocket and took his Skittles.

I jumped onto the track and ripped open the pack and grabbed a purple skittle and nibbled on it like it was the last one.

“Kelly?” Arthur asked as he carefully crouched down in front of me, trying to get a better look.

I hissed at him and turned around facing the other way, while rapidly eating the yummy grape skittle.

“Yep, that’s definitely Kelly” Arthur laughed.

I finished the skittle and climbed back on Arthur and thankfully he didn’t have a dramatic moment while doing so.

I sat on his shoulder and as I did Jeremy shock finally left and he asked himself, “Did a squirrel just take my skittles?”

Then across the field was Arnold I squeaked and climbed into Arthur’s shirt.

“Kelly what are you doing?!” Arthur whispered/yelled frantically.

I scratched his chest when he was about to say something.

“Hey, Arthur have you seen Kelly around?” Arnold asked, “She ran off a few minutes ago”
 he continued.

I got my claws out ready to strike if he ratted me out.

“N-no I haven’t seen her” Arthur hesitantly stuttered out.

Gosh his acting sucks, where is Brianna when you need her?

Speaking of people that’s not here where’s Kyle?

“Well if you see Kelly, please tell me” Arnold said to Arthur. Ha-ha sucker!

“Okay I will” Arthur said making some movement with his arm, because I felt the fabric of his shirt rub against my back.

After a few minutes Arthur told me he was gone.

Ugh thank Apples!

Now since Kyle might be in the school searching for me I’m going to go home.

I crawled out of Arthur’s shirt and tapped him twice and ran off. Yes I just petted a human.

I ran off campus and ran as fast as my squirrel legs could take me and ran behind a tree and transformed back into good ole’ Kelly.

Okay I could either run home or try to get a ride.

As I was thinking a bird flew on my shoulder, I turned my head and it was a Blue Jay.

Oh it’s my lucky day!

I put my forehead on the bird and thought about its birdy self, then the magic happened.

I was now a flipping bird.

I stopped in the air mid fall and started flapping my little wings and began rising into the air higher and higher.

Wow, this is so much fun!

Now time to get home.

I arrived home in no time, but the only problem was I didn’t know how to stop so I flew into the window.

My luck just ran out.
