" Cut it out, I need to reach he string. There we go. Luckily, it still opens."

'There's two men in your house and your concern is flooring?'

" It's dark cit on your phones flash..."

'You should change locations.'

Peeking the chest open... (E/C) eyes peered out, then a he fully crawled out of her hiding spot.

'Quietly, 'quietly.'

After, gently shutting the chest, she walked out of the room as quickly and quietly as possible.

'Your going downstairs?'

'They've checked it already.'

Turning from the stairs, she slowly ran her hand along the wall side and grab the indention.

Sliding the door open, she slipped under the stairs and slowly closed it back.

'....ah....how did you know I was going down stairs?'

'I saw it.'

'....uh..'

'I don't know how, do don't ask. Besides I'm not able to now.'

'oh.. and I can hear you in my head now?'

'...This, is the first—hearing anyone speak where I am.'

Hearing a thump, she turned her head up. A few footsteps, followed by shuffling.

Shortly after, they paced down the steps above her.

"She wasn't there either."

" Telling you, after the first few incidents I think that girl left."

"Think about it. No one has seen that girl...not in town."

"Whatever...just saying, unless she's a ghost, dead, or a ninja, I don't know what to tell you."

"Hmm. For now let's go."

"Right.."

" You know that door is broken and you tried to close it?"

"Aye, force of habit! My mom throws the nearest thing to her when I don't close doors!"

After several minutes of waiting, she open the door and after glancing around, she stepped out and closed the door.

Sighing, she shivered, turning her head towards the door.

Air sleeping in through the gaps.

Frowning she dragged herself back upstairs and entered the same room.

She locked the door and seated herself on the floor in a corner.

'I wish someone else was here with me.....'

Red eyes staring at the sky of night color  above as the water below him rippled.
