I woke up by a knock at the door followed by Lucas voice.

"Hmm!" I groaned as a response.

"Can I come in?" he asked lightly.

"Mm." I simply replied, what if I could get through my day without actually having to say an actual word.

My thoughts were pushed away as Lucas opened the door.

"Do you want a ride to school?"

I cleared my throat before answering.

"Yeah, thank you. When are you leaving?"

"In like 40 minutes. Is that okay?"

"Yep." I replied as I climbed out of bed and headed towards the bathroom. I washed my face and brushed my hair. I pulled it into a ponytail and put some mascara on my lashes.

As I headed back to my room I saw Miranda exiting it. With another piece of clothing.

"What happened to asking?!"

"I'm sorry, your majesty. Can I borrow this?" she asked, sarcastically.

"Actually, no. I was going to wear that today."

"You? You were going to wear this today?" she asked as she held the piece of clothing up in front of me. Damn it. It was a black top with a low neckline and some place over the sides of the stomach.

"Yes, actually I was!" I said and snatched it from her hands and closed the door behind me. I quickly changed into the top, it's really cute and sexy. It looks really good on me as well. Not something I'd normally wear to school, but no one notice me anyway so what have I got to lose.

I sat down at the kitchen table, ate my breakfast, then quickly went to brush my teeth and get my stuff. Then I headed to the door. As I buckled up in the car, Lucas looked at me.

"What?" I asked.

"You're wearing that? To school, I mean?"

"Yeah, Miranda just keeps taking my stuff so I had to prove a point."

"Okay, you look good by the way. Just keep them boys off."

"Oh shut up, Luke. 'All them boys' are drooling more over you than me so you've got nothing to worry about than yourself." I laughed.

Lucas is always seen with the easiest girls at school, but he really doesn't want me to be like one of them. I think it's really sweet that he's looking out for me actually.

The car ride was spent with no talking and just some music on. Lucas drummed with his fingers on the steering wheel and I just looked through my social medias.

As we got there, we parked next to Sarah's car in the lot. She stepped out at the same time as us.

"Hey guys!" she smiled at me and my brother.

"Hey, Sarah" we both replied, Lucas keeping his smile and eyes on her a little longer than appropriate.

"How's football, Lucas?" Sarah asked him. He smiled, happy that she acknowledged him, I guess.

"It's great. We have a game this Friday. You should come, and convince Felicia to come as well because she's refusing."

"What? You're not going to your own brother's game?? We're going."

"Yeah, whatever. Okay."

"Well, that was easier than expected!" Sarah said and they both started laughing at my expense.
