“Babe, can we cancel our date?” I said as we walk out of the studio, he’s holding my hand at his left whilst carrying his bag on the right.
“Baket?” He stopped.
“Tapusin mo muna yung thesis mo, sa Friday na pala yung deadline nun eh.”
“That could wait.” He said and held my hands again, but I insisted.
“Our date could wait, we can go out some other time kapag di ka na busy. Importante yung thesis mo.”
“Mas importante ba yun? First monthsarry natin tapos di tayo magcecelebrate?”
“Kai, we have more monthsaries to come, di lang ito. Unless na makahanap ka ng iba..”
“No way, this is our day, we should spend it together.”
“Kai, maawa ka naman sa mga ka-grupo mo.”
“Magsosolo nalang ako,” I can’t find a hole! Paano ako mananalo sa argumentong ito?
“As if kaya mong tapusin lahat in a week.”
“I can.” Grabe, Kai. Ilang beses ka bang pinanganak? Bakit ang kulit mo? Just go to Paul and finish that damn thesis!
“Sure?”
“Hundred percent. Let’s go?” He offered his hand again, pero hindi ko tinanggap iyon.
“Still a ‘no’. Go and meet Paul, sa thesis mo nakasalalay diploma mo.”
“Ayoko pang grumadweyt, gusto ko sabay tayo.”
“Kai naman! Don’t be too insane! Huwag lang ako isipin mo, isipin mo yung future natin. Kung magpapabaya ka, anong mangyayari?”
“Fra—“ I cut him off, bakit ang daming mong alam Kai? Shut up, baka magbago ang isip ko at ilagay ka sa bulsa ko.
“It’s either you make your thesis now or I will not talk to you for a week.”
