Nya's POV
I still couldn't believe that someone reads my stories! It feels really awesome to write them, let alone know that someone reads them! I took a deep breath and replied:
"Thank you so much! I really appreciate your kind words. It's nice to know that someone likes my writing!"
I couldn't help but feel a bit anxious for some reason. A message led to another message and another one, to a point where we had a full-on conversation.
Turns out we had quite a lot in common. We liked the same music, shows, actors, etc. Our only difference was mainly our preference of, well, life. I'm a bit of a negative person, while they were possibly the happiest person I've ever talked to.
I guess I was so tired, I fell asleep while texting, because when I woke up, I saw a lot of worried messages. I awkwardly texted back. Didn't want them to think their favorite author got kidnapped..
I looked at the time, seeing it was early afternoon, which is usually a really unusual time for me to wake up. I am supposed to be in that café in about ten minutes for my interview. Which means that by now, I only have.. 15 minutes till it starts. Wait what?! I quickly got up and got ready, wearing semi-formal clothes, since the company that is -hopefully- going to hire me, is one of the most successful companies in all of Ninjago.
I didn't even bother to grab something to eat, but I'll just drink some coffee once I arrive.I was on my way to the café and there was too much traffic for me to drive. That -suddenly- meant that I had to go by that bus stop again, where Mr. Creep is. I was approaching the bus stop, hoping he wasn't there, but luck wasn't on my side today. Or ever.
He came over to me and smiled, but before he could even talk I said:"Look, I'm in a hurry right now. But if you're so in need of this meeting, you get to ask three questions. That's it" I explained. He thought for a bit, but eventually gave up.
"Ugh, what should I ask though?" He whined. He didn't seem like the smart type. I really wanted to mentally punch him right now.
"I don't know. But what I do know is that you just wasted your first question." I giggled.
"But that wasn't a question! Was it?" He wondered, a bit mad at himself.
"Yes it was, just like this one. One question left." I crossed my arms. I eventually gave up waiting and went on my way. He got nervous and tried to think even quicker. He eventually caught up to me and asked me a question which really got me by surprise.
"Do you like blue?" He awkwardly asked, as a slight blush crept up his cheeks. Maybe he wasn't such a bad person after all.
"It's my favorite color" I half-smiled and went on my way. I could have sworn I heard a slight "Yes!" coming out of his mouth, but it's too early too assume. But that question doesn't mean I'm not going to keep an eye on him.
Cause if he follows me again, I'm calling the cops.
I arrived at the café just in time to see Pixal, assistant of the famous Cyrus Borg, owner of the Borg Company, ordering a cup of tea. She was dressed much more formally than I was, even to a point of wearing heels. I went over to the table she was waiting at and she welcomed me with a warm smile.
"Hello, miss.." She started. "Nya. Nya Smith." I continued for her. "I am really glad to see you managed to make it on time. It's been a busy day today, you know. I also hope that you're aware of our high requirements. We have declined a lot of requests. So tell me, what makes you think you could get the job?" She asked me, taking a sip from her cup of tea. I took a deep breath and answered.
"Well, let's just say that.. I was born special. I didn't really have my string. This caused a lot of bullying. I'm not using this as an excuse to go through life. I just want to prove myself. I own a pretty large debt that my family isn't informed about and this could finally set me free. I'm currently studying engineering at Ninjago University. I suddenly haven't had past experience on the job, but I'm sure I can pull it off." I sighed.
"I-I don't know what to say.. I really appreciate your passion. Not letting anything bring you down. I don't need to hear anymore. I'll be sure to inform you about the job once I speak with my boss. Thank you, for this lovely meeting." She flashed a warm smile at me and we shook hands.
"No, thank you, for accepting my request for this interview." I smiled back. She soon left, which left me, my phone and my thoughts alone.
I decided to go through a different way this time, just in case, when I received a text message from my new friend.
"Hey! How did the interview go? Did you pass? Tell me everything!" I giggled at how childish a person could be through a text message.
"Really well, actually! They said they might call me back!
But, wait, I never told you about the interview.."
