"What were you doing over there?! You know you're not supposed to be with him! Do you know how dangerous that was?" Mikey scolded Gerard as they entered their house.

Gerard didn't care, he pretended like if he wasn't even talking, but he did start to get annoyed with Mikey's overreaction. He placed his backpack on the couch and headed to the kitchen, searching for something to eat.

"Keep your cool Gerard, if you scream back then that'll make matters worse." He thought as he grabbed the milk carton from the fridge.

But, Mikey went on and on, there was no end.

"Mikey..." Gerard mumbled, but obviously, he couldn't hear him. "Mikey..." he repeated a little louder; still, he didn't stop. There was no other choice, even if Gerard said he wouldn't scream back, that was his only option.

"Mikey! What the hell is your problem?! Like, dude! You're acting like I just killed a man or something! It's really not that serious!" Gerard slammed the fridge door. You could tell that he was really pissed, but Mikey wasn't taking it, he wanted to give him a piece of his mind about his 'little' crush.

"Oh no, I think you should know that pulling stunts like that could really get you and me in trouble. You should be able to control your feelings, but no! You are so madly in love with him that'll you'll do anything to get close to him! But guess what? He's not interested in you! Don't you get that? He's literally been bullying you ever since you started middle school nonstop! But you just don't fucking get the point!"
Mikey let it all out. He expected Gerard to at least show some sort of negative emotion, but he just looked at him with a blank stare.

"I guess you could the same thing with Ray. You tried everything to get him to like you, but he obviously wasn't interested in you and got himself a girlfriend, leaving you jealous." Gerard barked back, knowing that'll hurt Mikey deeply.

Mikey turned deep red and closed his fists. He stood there, silent. "T-this isn't about me..." He mumbled, being aware that it was only the truth.

"Oh? It's not about you? Then who was the one that said 'I think you should know that pulling stunts like that could really get you and me in trouble,'? What is that even supposed to mean?!"

"You know what I think Mikey? I think you should focus on your business and leave me to do what I want. I know what I'm doing and I don't care if I get caught! I want to do this! I'm sorry that I couldn't help falling in love with him! You want to be smart with me? Well, I'll throw a harder punch. So, watch it before you really get hurt." Gerard said enraged.

Mikey lowered his head, his hands felt clammy and his body was hot. He's never been yelled at like that, especially by someone calm like Gerard.

Gerard realized that he might've been too harsh on him. He took in a deep breath, then sighed. He walked up to his brother, his eyes looking at the floor.
He put his hand on his brother's shoulder. Mikey raised his head, his vision blurry from the tears forming in his eyes.

"Mikey..." He let out and looked away, trying not to show his weakness. "I'm...I'm sorry."

"I know you're trying to look out for me, and I know I shouldn't be around Frank, but you gotta stop freaking out like that. You've been giving me a lecture for like 2 blocks." Gerard looked at him, straight in the eyes.

"I appreciate that you care and want the best for me, but you need to realize that I decide what I want to do with myself. So what if I got in trouble? I really don't care! At least I'm doing something that will make me happy. Like you said before!"

"After we went inside from the park that one other time, I couldn't stop thinking about what you told me... how it's childish of me to keep hating Frank and his family, not showing how I truly felt about them.
I wanted to be better than that, someone who isn't controlled by his parents and relays on them to judge other people, so I decided to be the bigger man and do what I believe is right for me, which is showing Frank that I'm nothing like my parents, and someday winning his heart or friendship. Maybe even ending this stupid drama."
