(Jerome's POV)

As the familiar ground of the lake came into view we were soon at the lake with a view of the side we stayed near, "Wow never thought how much it would look after what happened." Mitch said out of breath, "Why are you out of breath?" I said looking at him only to see him smile at me.

"You ran, so I had to catch up." Mitch said while I looked into his eyes to find happiness, "So why are we here?" Mitch asked looking out to the opposite shore, "Preston looked like he wasn't just attacked by a animal but something that knew how to fight Preston." I said looking at Mitch.

"What do you mean?" Mitch said looking a bit afraid, "Remember that girl that tried to kill Preston when he fought them as a distraction?" I asked while gazing over the water's surface, "You mean Hannah?" Lachlan's voice said from behind us.

"Lachlan? I thought you were protecting the others?" I said confused why he was here, "You don't want to mess around with Hannah and her people." Lachlan said putting hate in the last part. "What do you mean?" Mitch said confused like I was.

"Hannah is out for revenge...and to do that she has to take out you guys so I can't let you go any further." Lachlan said glaring at me and Mitch, "Why not Lachlan?" I asked looking at him, "She will kill you with no hesitation!" Lachlan said annoyed that we didn't listen to him.

"That part is right." A female voice said from behind me, stiffening I just listened as I heard Mitch and Laclan gasp frightened of her, but I wasn't afraid not anymore. Whipping around I grabbed my sword that Mitch made me and slashed it at her, but she dodged to the right and backed up while I stumbled to the ground.

"You really thought that would work?" The female said smirking at me but was looking into my eyes until fear was all I could see in her eyes, "N-no! Y-you can't be alive!" The female said while I glared into her eyes, confused I stood up straight and held my sword in front of me.

Suddenly I saw her fall to the ground and a grey wolf was standing in front of me, "That's enough Hannah." A male's voice said from the wolf, "But they-" Hannah said looking at the grey wolf before being cut off, "Enough." the grey wolf said turning around to look at me.

Looking over the wolf I heard Lachlan growl something while glaring at the wolf, "My if it isn't Laclan first to have the throne but rejected it to become what ever he is today." The grey wolf said walking over to Hannah's side and looked over at Laclan.

"leave them out of this Fin." Lachlan said taking a step forward, "Oh and why not, how about we make them beg for their freedom." Fin said looking at me, suddenly a black wolf with a lot of wounds all over his body jumped in front of me growling at Fin.

"Touch them, and you will regret what you do." Preston said growling loudly, looking over towards Lachlan and Mitch I saw Lyric, Andi, Rob, and Matt standing there looking ready to fight, "So your going to use the other wolves to fight me off!" Fin said laughing at Preston while he stood there glaring at Fin.

"No but trust me you'll be afraid." Preston said right before the lake water was lifted into the air by Rob, "What!" Fin and Hannah said together in fear as the water was above the forest and was toughing the clouds, "Get out of here this whole land around the lake is our territory!" Preston growled taking a step towards them.

"No the kingdom owned this land before you were even here!" Fin said backing up as Preston was coming closer to them, "No Fin remember who has the deed of the kingdom." Lachlan said while looking at the grey wolf.

"Oh right....." Fin said looking down thinking of his options to do something, suddenly a spike of rock rose from the ground from no where right in between Preston and Fin, "What the!" Preston said jumping back from shock of the spike coming out of the ground.

Fin and Hannah quickly jumped to the side and was in a clear shot of Preston but a wall of water held them back, and soon a wall of vines surrounded us all, "Whats going on!" Lachlan said with fear in his voice as I had my back to the lake to look at everyone.

Looking up I saw the clouds above had grown dark, soon it started raining with lightning hitting the vine wall causing fire to burst up burning the vines, thunder soon followed as bolts of lightning from far away hit the ground way before the thunder could be heard.

I could tell something wasn't right but there was a calm feeling coming from Preston who was observing his surrounding, "What should we do?" Rob said fear in his voice while Fin and Hannah only smiled and looked at me.

'what are they thinking?' I thought as I looked straight back at them, suddenly it made sense they were a distraction, "We need to get out of this quickly!" I yelled over the lightning and the thunder to the pack.

"Why what's wrong?" Mitch asked from the other side of the area that we were stuck in, "They were a distraction for-" I said before being hit forwards by someone, 'no..' I thought as I managed to get on to my hand and knees from the intense pain of being hit.

"This is the end Preston." Leon's voice said from behind me I saw Preston freeze his jaws parted, and his eyes held fear, suddenly he looked at me straight in the eyes, I felt heat run through my body as everything went dark, but the last thing I saw was Preston holding back tears, 'maybe he did care....'

This book hit the 1k mark! 

SO that means that I should have something planned for it right? Well you guessed it I have not one but two new books! A zombie apocalypse story and a Ryguyrocky fanfic that has no relation to the story, but trust me the one that does have a relation to this story will be out soon once I figure out how I want it to go.
