Chapter 22

Tiana's POV

"...Now, just a reminder that this School Hall is PTA-sponsored event", Alice Cooper smiled at the crowd. "Oh! We have our first question". 

"Yeah", Sweet Pea said, making my heart jump a meter, "No offense to the current administration but it feels like no one's looking out for the students being bused in from the Southside. Will that change?".

"Absolutely, Sweet Pea. It's our priority. No one should be marginalized or excluded", Jughead smiled at the Serpent boy. 

"Jughead and I will be representing all students, North and Southside alike", Betty added.

"Next question. Yes, Midge", Alice smiled at the short haired girl. 

"My next question is for Archie and Veronica. You parents will soon be on opposite sides of the mayoral election. Won't that negatively affect your working relationship?", she asked the couple. 

"Politics are never discussed on the dinner or cafeteria table", Veronica joked making the entire crowd chuckle.

"Veronica and I are on the same page including her family's plans for a prison. In the meantime, we're committed to improving life at Riverdale High", Archie said making the serpents shout boos towards him.

"More extracurriculars-", Veronica started but was cut off by Josie, "Reggie and I agree, except add the fact that we can, and will, deliver results". 

"And we're chill, unlike these guys", Reggie joked, winking in my direction. The entire crowd chuckled.

After the little meeting I had school off, I started walking towards my locker, not looking where I was going. Yet again I collided with a hard chest. 

"Oh sorry", I mumbled and realized it was the same guy I bumped in yesterday. "T, we should stop bumping into each other", he chuckled. 

"Eh yeah", I awkwardly responded. "Listen, T, I'm sorry. I bet Toni didn't tell you but I'm so sorry for what I did. You, us, that was the best thing that had ever happened in my life and I just destroyed it within seconds", he ranted. 

"Sweet-", I started. "No, it's fine. I just want you to know that I am sorry and that you'd never do something like that and not with Reggie", he mumbled. 

"Pea", I started again. "No no, I will go now but remember that I still love you". 

He left me standing there in the hallway, shocked. How am I gonna tell him that Reggie and I kissed?

The next day I felt like a ghost. My mother said I couldn't talk to Cheryl until she was recovered. She also told me if I told someone where she was I would get punished badly. 

I didn't even dress up today, I was wearing simple black jeans and a grey turtleneck shirt. 

Jughead had called the Serpents in for another meeting and that's, where I headed. I sat down at a table, Sweet Pea sat on the table next to me. 

"You promised us a war, then you're on stage, sucking up to the Northside?", Sweet Pea yelled at the Jones boy. 

"We need those votes, Sweet Pea. It's the only way we can affect change. Whoever's elected gets on the school board. That means we're inside, they can't silence us", Jug explained.

"You and the Northside princess?", Fangs questioned. "Wait. Is that why you guys are pissed? Betty's on our side", Jughead said. 

"Yeah, I've helped the Serpents on numerous occasions. I helped find the Pickens statue's head. I got Cheryl and Tiana to testify in court so FP, your king, could get early parole-", the blonde girl started to rant.
