WednesdayAdjusting both my cheer and tote bag on my shoulder, I huff, annoyed with the bags constantly falling off my shoulder.
Shoving my way to my locker, I know I'm glaring at everyone but I can't help it.
Patrick had left on Sunday after we spent most of the day laying around and eating more than I should. When Monday stunt practice came around, it kicked my butt not only because I had stuffed my face the day before but also because it had been so long. Yesterday I had been so sore, it was ridiculous. Today, I'm not nearly as sore which would be good for my mood if I hadn't slept through my alarm and forgotten my coffee at home.
Finally arriving at my locker, I drop both my tote and cheer bag to the ground and twist the lock.
"What is your Louis Vuitton tote doing on the ground?!" Sue Ellen gasps.
Swinging my locker open, I glance down at it and shrug, "It kept falling off my shoulder and was annoying me."
"But its Louis Vuitton!"
"It's just a bag." I say, grabbing my books for my next few classes and shoving them in the tote, leaving in on the floor while shoving my cheer bag in my locker.
"A Louis Vuitton bag!"
I turn to look at her, slamming my locker shut. Her face is pure shock and almost horror.
"A bag that is annoying and falls off my shoulder and is literally so overpriced just because it has a brand attached to it." I try and control my tone, not wanting to take my frustration out on her.
"Do you know how many girls envy you because of that tote!?" She points at it.
"No one should. As I said, its literally a pain and not worth what was paid for it." I look at it disgusted.
My eyes grow wide as an idea pops into my mind.
"I have an idea." I smile at Sue who is still looking quite horrified.
"What?" She asks.
"Stay here, I'll be right back." Before she could protest or question it, I take off down the hall and out the school doors to the parking lot.
Nearing my car, I pop the trunk and begin my search. Throwing trash and water bottles aside, I focus on my mission.
"This is an interesting sight." A familiar voice calls out from behind me but I ignore him, catching a glimpse of what I am looking for.
Throwing a few bottles out of my way, I grab it and pull, making it come loose. I hold it in my hands with a triumphant smile, "Found it!"
Slamming my trunk shut, I take off.
I hear Cash shout something but I keep running across the parking lot and up the stairs. Shoving open the doors and taking off into the school, I'm thankful for the sneakers on my feet and not some heels. Rounding the corner, I see Sue still standing by my locker with Rhett and Sterling.
"There you are!" Sue exclaims, "Where did you go?" She asks.
Ignoring her, I plop on the floor and being taking stuff out of my tote and putting it into the backpack that I had found in my trunk.
I've had this backpack since sophomore year but on my birthday of the same year, my parents had gifted me with this tote so before school that day, I ditched the backpack and I've carried the tote around ever since.
Now, it is time for a change, I thought to myself as I transferred the last of my stuff into my backpack.
"There!" I exclaim, holding up my now full backpack, noticing that Cash has joined. He wore his typical blue jeans with a long sleeve, gray t-shirt that hugged his arms and he had pushed up to his elbows. I pull my eyes from him and met everyone else's confused looks.
