Saturday (finally)
"Liberty! Patrick!" My mom's voice rang out through the house. "Breakfast is ready!"
Squinting at the sunlight streaming into my room, I groan and roll over, reaching for my phone.
Turning it on, I read the time.
9:30 am
Flopping back onto the bed, I stare up at the ceiling, a smile playing on my lips.
I think back to yesterday as everything that happened starts running through my mind.
The game, my routine, Patrick showing up, the party with Cash, dancing to one of my favorite songs, stargazing and then saying goodnight to Cash.
The smile grows as I remembered the way his lips felt against my cheek, immediately causing my face to heat up.
"Stop dreaming about that cowboy and get downstairs before I eat all the breakfast." Patrick sticks his head into my room before dashing out again.
"Hey!" I shout, leaping out of my bed and charging down the stairs after him, "I wasn't thinking about Cash." I lied.
Patrick doubles over in laughter as we reach the bottom of the stairs, "I never said you were dreaming about Cash, I just said a cowboy, like in general." He laughs again as I realize that I just played myself.
I glare at him and cross my arms as my cheeks heat up again. "Whatever." I mutter as I leave him to finish laughing.
"Good morning Mom!" I greet, entering the kitchen.
She returns my greeting as she cuts up some fruit.
"Good morning Dad." I walk over to him as he eats his fruit and yogurt.
"Morning Princess." He smiles at me, "How was the party last night?"
"It was great! I had a really awesome time. They had it outside and they had a huge bonfire and everyone was just chilling and having a great time. The party had a really chill feeling about it and it was super cool." I explain.
"I'm so glad to hear you had fun. It makes me happy to see that you've made friends so quickly and that you are enjoying life with them." Dad grabs my hand, giving it a squeeze.
"Thanks Dad." I smile at him.
"Where's Patrick?" Mom asks, setting my yogurt in front of me.
"Karma probably got him and he choked on his spit from laughing too much and died." I mutter.
"Sorry to disappoint but I dont think that's happened." Patrick says as he walks in.
"Dang." I say, my lip twitching into a smile.
"Good morning Mrs. Hailey." He greets my mom, going over and picking up his breakfast. "Good morning Mr. Joe." He greets my dad as he sits at the table.
They both return the greeting and a quiet settles over us as we eat breakfast.
Suddenly my phone chimes and I check it to find a text from Cash.
Cash: Good morning your highness :) I hope you slept well. Here's my address. You're welcome to come over at 12 and have lunch with us, or not and just come a little later, that's up to you
"Who is making you smile so early in the morning?" Mom asks, making me snap my head up and become aware of the smile on my face.
"It's that cowboy isn't it?" Patrick smirks from across the table.
