Demi's pov

Today Ariana isn't feeling any better, just more tired, more miserable, and looks to be in more pain. So today is a doctors trip to see what is exactly going on.

"So runny nose?" The doctor asks.

"Runny nose, I believe a sore throat, watery eyes, coughing, and tiredness." I say.

She looks at Ariana and gives her a sympathetic smile, "You just don't feel good at all do you?" She asks.

Ariana Burris's her head further into the crook of my neck and I hold her tighter to let her know everything's ok and I got her.

"No, she doesn't." I say.

"I want to do a strep test and flu test." She says and I sigh.

I know Ariana doesn't have flu and I know that she's really not going to like either of these tests.

"Alright." Wilmer sighs.

I place a kiss on Ariana's head and she looks up at me, "They are going to do a few tests. You're not going to like them and I'm so sorry you have to do them. But these tests will help find out what's wrong ok? So can you please do them for me?" I ask and she nods.

"I love you so much and you're so brave." I say.

I see the doctor put on a pair of gloves before grabbing two swabs. She walks back to Ariana and Ariana already begins to shake. I rub her arm and keep one arm around her waist and frown at Wilmer. I hate this so much. I hate her being scared and feeling anxiety.

"Alright Ariana I'm going to put this swab in your nose. The other one I'm going to put in your throat. One will make you cough and the other one will tickle your nose. I'll try and do them really quick ok." The doctor says.

Ariana's eyes water and her lip quivers in fear, "I got you. You're in my lap and I will keep holding you. It's ok to cry ok." I say and she nods.

"Can you open your mouth for me Ariana?" The doctor asks.

Ariana does as she's told and the doctor wasn't joking when she said she'd be quick. She sticks it in there and gets a swab so quick that when Ariana does cough, the swab is already out of her mouth.

"Go ahead and test this one." She says passing it to the other girl in the room.

The doctor looks at me, "I see she's scared and I don't want to scare her more with a nasal swab. I think she's got enough of a runny nose to get a good enough swab from swabbing a nostril. If you want to do that one then I can let you do that." She says.

"Alright." I say.

She hands me the swab and Ariana looks at me, "I'm need to put it in your nose. It won't hurt and it won't even tickle. You will barely feel it. Can I do it?" I ask and she gives a tiny nod.

I put it in her nose and get enough of the snot on it before handing it back to the doctor, "Yeah that's going to work." She says before walking out of the room.

I gently wipe Ariana's tears and kiss the tip of her head, "You did so good sweetheart. I'm so proud of you. You were so brave. Do you know that?" I ask.

Her response is wrapping her arms around me and hiding her face in my chest, "You did do good." Wilmer says.

I put move Ariana's hair behind her ear, "When we leave and get home your going to have to eat some lunch. And I'm going to have to check your sugar. But we won't have to do the shots today because your pump is doing then. Do you like your pump?" I ask.

I took Nicks advice and did decide to do the pump. It broke my heart having to give her that many shots a day.

She gives me a smile and nods, "I thought you'd like it better." I say tickling her ribs.
