Demi's pov

2 weeks later

Ariana is finally back to feeling her normal self again but I strongly believe she's got a really weak immune system. I was getting scared I was going to have to take her back because she wasn't getting better for the longest.

"Are those waffles good?" I chuckle asks I see the syrup all over her little fingers.

She nods, "They good mommy."

"Are those your favorite now?" I ask.

She nods happily as she drags a cut waffle through the syrup. I believe she may just me more exited about the fact she can play with this unlike cereal or anything I've given her up until this point. But the taste is an added bonus.

"Mommy play after this?" She asks.

"We we will play after this." I say.

Wilmer hands me a wet and soapy wash cloth and I give him a small smile, "Thanks." I say knowing what he's handing it to me for.

"Mhm." He says sneaking a peck on my lips.

"Mommy are the fishies in the ocean out there." Ariana asks.

I turn my head to see what she's looking at and chuckle when I realize it's the pool. Aw she's so innocent it's adorable.

"Baby that's a pool. You go swimming in there. There's nothing but water in there. Fishies can't be in there. There's special water in there that fishies can't be in." I say.

"I go play in there?" She asks.

"No baby it's way to cold for you to go swim. You'll be able to when it's really hot outside. Do you know how to swim?" I ask.

"No mommy." She says.

"We're gonna have to get you some swimming lessons then. You have to know how to swim sweet girl." I say.

"I finish!" She cheers.

I look down at her plate and see not a single waffle left on her plate.  Which is really good. Ever since she's been sick her appetite has been pretty low. It's been worrying me with how little she has been eating, especially with the diabetes.

"I'm very proud of you. You ate all that I have you this morning. Can I see your hands?" I ask.

She shows me her hands and I wipe them off the the wet cloth and wipe her mouth as well. I check her clothes and see that they are syrup free and I smile.

"Alright, you're free." I say.

She gets out of her chair and pushes it in before walking right next to me and puts her hands on my legs, "Let's go mommy. You said play." She says.

"Can I talk with your daddy first sweet girl? You'll have me all day long and he has to go to work soon." I say.

She frowns and I sigh, "Ok let's go color. Your daddy can drink his morning drink in the living  room." I say.

She runs to the coffee table and I get up from the table with Wilmer. When I get to the coffee table, Ariana has all the coloring books out and the markers. She's definitely cracked me. I'd never let Madison color or even do homework on this table. It's an expensive marble coffee table. But Ariana I just can't say now to. I couldn't yell at her when I saw her at the table with a crayon I just let her color in peace. The expensive table has now become hers and I'm not even upset about it.

"So you have a meeting and then what?" I ask looking at Wilmer.

"I'll do grocery shopping I guess. We've got to get more food." He says.
