Heather's ♢ P.O.V.
Sarah and I give each other startled looks. "Should we go investigate?" She whispers to me. I start a mini debate in my head.
We should see what happening out there..
But we could die, or get kidnapped.
But...at least we would know what is happening..I nod to Sarah before I pick up my car keys and hold them Wolverine style, just in case. Once we got to the door, Sarah looked through the peephole.
"Oh...my gods." She whispers, "this would be great for my story!" She started getting so excited that I started worrying that the people outside would be able to hear her. I push her back a little to see into the peephole.Outside there are a couple men doing....something suspicious. I can't really tell from here. Then suddenly, there is a man right in front of the door again. It took all that I had within me not to yelp. "I know you're in there Jaclyn!" The man yelled. What does he want with my mother? Then I heard a new voice yell out, "Hey! Get away from there!"
I quickly look out of the hole to see what was happening but when I couldn't see anything, I sighed in annoyance and dragged Sarah, who was still mumbling about her book, up the stairs."Oh, I got it! I will make the main character be in a military special force group and I will make them..." I finally tuned Sarah out as she continues to talk about her new book. I pushed the curtains aside ever so slightly so I do not bring attention to myself.
Outside there were the people who were yelling for my mother and the two newbies who yelled at them in the first place. It seemed to be a man and a woman. They both had hoods over their heads to cover their face, but I could still see some features that looked familiar. The guy was tall with brown hair and the girl was also on the tall side with bright red hair they almost look like...
I gasp dramatically, "Is that...Jesse and Mike?!" I said. Sarah immediately stop talking about her new story and looks outside. "Definitely looks like them." She mumbles after sitting down and sweeping another part of the curtain out of the way. We sit quietly as we watch the scene unfold in front of us.
This doesn't look good. The older men chuckle, "What do you kids think you are doing? Scram, you don't belong here." The leader said menacingly. Jesse started giggling and Mike let out a chuckle.
"Hey! What are you laughing at?!" Another goon yelled.
Mike yells out, "You make it seem like you belong her, dude. Can't you tell yoou shouldn't be here either."
The mem are clearly taken aback that some teenagers would laugh and talk back to them.
"Why you little-" One goon raced forward. I want to scream 'watch out' to Mike or Jesse since they both turned away to compose themselves. Just when I think one of them is gonna get it, I heard a cry of pain that wasn't either of them. The goon that attacked was lying on the ground clutching half of his face while Jesse smirked knowingly at him. "I would suggest you guys get out of here before before we break most of the bones in your body." The goons scramble awau as quick as they can before Jesse and Mike say anything else. That was something, I thought to myself as Sarah just applauds enthusiasticly as they approach the door. They ring the doorbell and Sarah races out of the room to open the door for them. When I finally go to greet them, Sarah is all over them as she asks questions.
"Where did you guys learn that?" She finallt asks
Jesse smirks, "From Cam's uncle, he said we needed to learn just in case something happens while he is away."
At the mention of Cam, the two grimanced and gave each other a look before turning back to us."Speaking of the devil, have either of you seen her since last night?" Panic stuck my bones.
"You mean, she hasn't come home since she stormed off?" They nodded in unison.
"I thought you said she does this all the time." Sarah says, making Mike turn to her,
"We did say so, but she always comes home that night. She didn't this time and we are starting to worry." Even Jesse has a solem look on her face, this must be pretty serious if even Jesse doesn't crack a smile or a joke around. Sarah and I share a look of our own before we run to get out jackets."What are you doing?" Jesse asks eventually.
"Well, what does it look like? We are going to help you search for her, obviously." I stated calmly while my heart was beating rapidly in my chest from panic. What if the wolves got to her first? I almost slap myself for even thinking those words. She is probably fine, there's nothing to worry about.
"Alright, let's go." Mike says and we leave without another word.______♢______
Four hours.
That's how long we have been searching for Camryn with no luck at all. I sat down, frustrated. Where the hell is she? The only other place we haven't checked is... I jump up quickly and run to the outskirts of town. Here, I finished my thought as I reached the woods.I gulped as I looked at how scary they were, even during the day. It will be fine, Heather, let's do this! With that thought, I ran into the woods like a madwoman.
Branches whip at my face and arms, leaving my upper body covered in small scratches. Every now and then, I have to swat away bugs from interfering with my search and it seems to be getting darker the deeper I go. Then, it gets brighter again as I enter a clearing that has one single tree in the center. Suddenly, I feel a blade against my neck skin. I gulp and take an educated guess.
"Camryn?"
