Camryns ♧ P.O.V.
I stared down the indruder as she smiled innocently. "Isn't it obvious?" Her smile grew into a smirk. "I came back to see you, of course." She stared at me intently, waiting for my reaction.
I rolled my eyes once I turned my back to her. "Where do you think you're going?" She asked in an exasperated tone, her perfect, sculpted eyebrows furrowed over her bright blue eyes.
"To make breakfast."

The sizzling of bacon was the only sound in the kitchen as I cooked. Mike sat, silently watching Wynter. "Yo, what's up peeps what's- why is she here?!" Jesse finally made her grand entrance, it was similar to Mikes, well besides the "yo peeps" part.
Wynter just flashed her a smirk as she stuffed her fave with more pancakes.
"Well obviously she is eating breakfast. Don't rolls your eyes at me, I'm just stating the obvious, you would have to ask her for the real answer." Mike answers Jesse in a bored tone. Then it gets so silent, the popping of the bacon grease is the only noise between us. "Well...this is awkward." I coughed out as I turned off the stove and moved the pan. "I'm going to go change now. " Then, I flee to my bedroom before anyone can stop me.
As I walk up the stairs, someone grabs my wrist. I groan as I turn, knowing who it is already. Jesse's blue-grat eyes staring at me intently. "You know why she is here, don't you?"
"No, I sadly don't know. I will fnd out soon though." I say as dissapointment runs through me. Dissapointment that I wasn't able to get anything useful out of her before the others joined us.Jesse gives me a knowing look as she lets go of my sleeve so I can continue my ascent to my bedroom. As soon as I get in there, I dash to my desk, searching for my most precious gifts, the ring my father gave to me a few days before he died and the journal that my mother gave me as well.
I opened the journal and scan the pages for something, anything that can be of some use for us. Anything that will get Wynter King out of my house.

There's a knock on my door, I quickly finish up writing the clues of the Crescendos before stuffing it into one of the drawers, barely managing to hide it before none other than Wynter sticks her head in my room. "Can we talk?" She asks sweetly. I groan internally as I nod my head. She immediately steps in and locked the door behind her. Panicking inwardly, I shuffle my foot around to make sure I have something for self defense, you never know when one will need to use them."What do you want, Wynter." I said coldly once I calmed down my inner turmoil. She traces a painting on the wall before turning to me again, "The mission, I need to know what's going on so we can continue." Honestly, I was a bit stunned, why didn't Uncle tell me about this? He knows how much Wynter and I hate each other!
As if she heard my inner dialogue, she smirked but then fell back into business mode. "Your uncle decided not to tell you because he though you wouldn't agree to it but...now that you know that, I might as well tell you." A ghost of that smirk I hate touched her face before it dissapeared again.
"Tell me what?" I asked as I gritted my teeth. My anger was threatening to overwhelm me. Every bone in my body knew that this would be bad, it cannot be that bad, can it?
"You have to go to Europe for a month, maybe more, to find Cristina Stapleton and Ross Michaels." My jaw dropped in suprise.
"Why can't someone else do it? I am literally in the middle of a mission now!" My voice gradually gets louder with every word before I remember that it is only the two of us that know about this mission. "What am I supposed to do? Just leave it and act like nothing is going to happen to one of the most powerful teenager in America?" She looks at me like I am stupid."Yes that is exactly what you're supposed to do. That's why I am here." I groan. Please don't let her be my partner in this.
I must have had some easy to read look on my face because she laughed, "Don't worry, Brown, I am not working with you this time. I am supposed to stay here until you get back so that this team has their assassin. You will either be working on this alone, like usual, or you will get a small...well smaller team than usual."I flop onto bed with my arm over my eyes. "What am I supposed to tell the others? 'Yeah sorry, I have to leave you guys to fend for yourselves while I go to Europe to do some top secret stuff.' yeah, that would go down so well." The sarcasm just rolls off of my tongue like that was what it wad supposed to do. I could practically hear Wynter as her eyes rolled.
"You tell them that your uncle wants to meet with you to do some special training foe taking over the company or some crap like that. You'll figure something out, I'm sure. After all, you are the great Camryn Brown." She says bitterly.
Rolling over to look at her directly in the eyes, I stare at her while weighing my options. On one hand, I get to personally take out two people that need to be taken out, and make sure it is done right....on the other hand, I leave my group, alone, with Wynter. I almost snort as I try to think of Wynter actually doing something to help us. As if, she could always just sit back and relax as the others work their butts off since she doesn't have to enroll like the rest of us did. Then, my choice practically smacks me in the face
"When do I leave?" I ask, the knot in my chest tightening at the thought of my leaving, I have to, it is to protect them all. My eyes meet her blazing blue ones, probably burning with a spark of determination. She hesitates, from the answer or from the look on my face, I am not sure, but soon, she relents and tells me what I need to know.
"In a few days. You better be ready for this, Brown. If you fail, this could be bad for everyone." And with that, she strides out of my room.
