Camryn's P.O.V

Numb.

That's the only way I felt after this realization. Jesse came over to me and lightly wrapped her arm around me while turning to talk to Mike.

"What are we going to do, Mike?"

He sighed, closing his eyes, "I don't know."

Heather's P.O.V

Cam has been acting strange for the past few days. She stares off into space, says nothing all day, and has a bit of a devastated look on her face. I walked up to her, "Hey Cam!" I say cheerily, trying to get her to brighten up at least a little bit.

All she did was nod her head in mu direction, before going back to staring. I sighed. "I was hoping I wouldn't have to do this, but you leave me no choice." I say, seriously, making the other girl quirk an eyebrow.

I grabbed her by the arm and dragged her out of the school. "H-hey! Where are you taking me?"

"Out." I reply casually

"And here we are!" I exclaim as I remove my hands from Cam's eyes. She rolled her eyes, before looking around, noticing that it was her spot in the woods. She smiled slightly before looking over at me,

"Why are we here? I need to be at school, so that way I don't ruin my attendance even more." she groaned out.

I laughed slighly at the face she made and leaned over to peck her cheek. "Because you need it. You've been so distant with us all," especially me, "and I was hoping that you being out here would help you...and I mean, if you need to talk, I'm all ears." I insinuate.

She sighed. "I would tell you, but that means I'd have to dive into my past, and I'm not ready for that." I nodded, knowing that I'll be pushed away if I try to get anything else from that. So, instead of saying anything else, I leaned over, grabbing Camryn's head, and pulled her face close to mine, but didn't let our lips touch just yet.

She leaned in closer, our lips almost touching, before I quickly stood and ran away, chuckling.

"Seriously?" She groaned as she, too, stood so that she could catch me. And she did, by tackling me.

"So....is this about to be a cliché kiss moment that I read in stories?" Camryn asks with a glint of humor in her eyes.

I grabbed her face, bringing it close, saying "You bet it is." before smashing my lips against hers. She smirked slighly before kissing back.

Sadly, we had to pull away not too long after, as someone was calling me. I groaned when I realized that it was my father, and made a face, which made Camryn laugh and kiss my cheek.

I looked at her, then at the phone, then back at her.

I silenced the phone. He's trying to get an update, but she's more important right now. I walzed over to her, crouching down to her level, as she had sat down, before kissing her once more.

Once we departed for the second time, she laughed. "I knew I was irresistible, but I didn't realize I was so irresistible that you had to decline a call from your father." I blushed and smacked her arm lightly.

Soon, we were just laying in the grass, my head resting on her chest. Doing nothing but goof around and cloud watch, sometimes, Cam would grab out one of her books and read a chapter aloud for the both of us to hear so that it wasn't too quiet after both of our phones died.

But of course, all good things have to end, and it starting to get dark out. I sighed once again, before turning to Camryn. "Well, I suppose this would be our que to leave, huh?" I pouted. Cam laughed and kissed my cheek before pulling me up.

"Well, not exactly. I have one more place to go." There was another glimmer in her eyes, this one brighter than the last as she led me to wherever we were going.

"Oh my gods, why are you walking so slow? Come on! Let's go, let's go, let's go!" She yelled as she pulled me, making my feet march at a faster pace.

Suddenly, she stopped. "If you don't walk faster, I will pick you up." I laughed, and kept my slow pace. She chuckled lightly, before coming over to me.

"I suppose you thought I was kidding, huh?" She said as she got close to my face. The glint in her eyes suddenly becoming mischievous.

She threw me over her shoulder, laughing as I struggled to get out of her hold. I scoff, "Put me down, right now!" Even after all of those years of training, I still can't get out of her hold, what the heck.

Camryn just laughed it off before walking to the destination. She put me down, with me still pouting. Laughing, she walked behind me, wrapping her arms securely around my waist. "Look." I finally turned so that I was looking the same way she was, and my jaw dropped.

Cam delicately placed a finger under my jaw and pushed it up, giving the backside of my neck a kiss before looking herself.

"It's beautiful." I managed to get out, still staring at the sunset that overlooked the town.

"It is indeed." Cam responded, making me roll my eyes playfully. We sat there together, enjoying each others company before finally heading back to the vehicle.

I plugged my phone in, and saw a message from my dad after it finally turned on.

I turned to Camryn before she got out of the car, as it had taken the entire ride back to her house for my phone to recharge.

"Would you like to come over?"
