Emerson's POV
I tried screaming, but that didn't work out too well since a giant hand was covering my mouth.
I tried biting, and that worked. "Ow! Damn! Emerson! It's me!" A familiar voice exclaimed. I could hear a hand fumbling for the light switch, and it finally turned on, to reveal Harry's face, in pain as he rubbed his hand, and the rest of boys and Eleanor bending over laughing.
"Harry! Holy fuck! That scared that shit out of me!" I could feel my hear pound against my chest as I struggle to catch my breath.
The Cheshire boy smiled sheepishly at me, "Sorry love, I thought a little prank would be some fun. I didn't know you were going to freak like that!"
A deep voice piped up. "Yeah Haz, Emmy wasn't much for the pranks when we were younger. Whenever I tried to pull one, she would try to bite me until I apologized!"
Even though I didn't want to laugh, I couldn't help it. He always brought up the best memories.
It was Halloween, and I was dressed in my favorite costume that I've had so far. I was dressed as Jessie from Toy Story 2. I had the red wig with the braids, and the cowboy boots, everything. I was walking with mum to Liam's house down the block.
I was super happy because this year Liam and I are going trick-or-treating by ourselves! Our mums were staying home, but we couldn't go too far.
"Mummy! Is Liam gonna be Woody? Is he? Is he?" I was so happy. Liam said he loved his costume too, and I thought I heard his mum and my mum talking on the phone about matching costumes.
She smiled and clasped my hand. "I don't know sweets. We'll have to wait and see."
We walked a little farther until we got to his house. It was completely dark outside and you could other kids squeal. Our neighborhood always dressed up their houses to make it look scary.
I let go of my mums hand was skipped up the steps and up to his door. I was just about to ring the doorbell when somebody yelled and dropped on the ground behind me. "AHHHHHH!" I scream at the top of my lungs.
But when I turned around, the person who had jumped was standing straight up, a teasing glint in his warm brown eyes. "Liam James Payne!" I scolded the ten year old boy that was smiling at me.
"That was not funny! I could have died! And so could of you!"
He laughed and wrapped me in his small arms, giving me a hug. "Aw, Emmy, you wouldn't have died! And I couldn't!" He pointed up, and I remembered that above the door, the roof was hanging low, so if you jumped you would have been fine.
I grabbed his arm and bit it. "OW! Em!" Liam shrieked.
"That's what you get for scaring me like that! And I'm going to keep on biting you if you don't say sorry!"
Grabbing his arm again, I was just about to bite down before he yelled, "I'M SORRY!"
I grinned a sly smile at him, and released his arm. "Thank you. And," I look him up and down. "YOU'RE WOODY!!!" Woody and Jessie. My Halloween was the best already, and we hadn't even gotten candy yet!
The flashback ended, and I realized all eyes were on me. "Oh, yeah. I hated pranks. Still do." I managed to cough out.
The others nodded and we went to the living room. "LET'S PLAY TRUTH OR DARE!" Louis screamed, jumping on the sofa, pulling Eleanor with him. A chorus of "Yeah!" played out and we all took a seat somewhere, I was on the floor leaning against Niall's knees and Liam was splayed across the floor on the other side of our somewhat circle, looking very concentrated.
