Emerson's POV
I walked away from Niall and Liam and went to the door and let myself out. Niall is really sweet, I can tell me and him are going to be good friends.
Smiling to myself, I waited for the doors to the elevator to open. It dinged and the doors slid open to reveal Louis, Harry, Zayn, and Layla.
"Hey guys, where did you all go? Finally decide to get out of bed?" I tease, hugging each of them.
Harry chuckled and gently shoved past me, "Me and Lou played a game of football, and Zayn and Layla went to the movies. We would have invited you, but Layla said that you were already gone by the time she woke up."
I nod, "Yeah, I went over to Niall's place and we watched a movie and binge ate popcorn. I was just headed back to the flat- but I think Niall and Liam were going to start watching Disney movies. Better not miss it!" I grab Layla's arm and drag her back to the elevator.
We both yell down the hall, "BYE BOYS!"
I notice Zayn glance at Layla and smile, but she didn't notice. We clamber into the elevator, and once the doors shut, Layla lets out a deafening scream.
I whirl around to face her, my eyes wide. "What the fuck, what are you screaming about?" I yell.
Layla's slender face is flushed and she cups her hands around her face. "Zayn asked me out on a date tomorrow night. And we are going to dinner... and I am freaking out."
I laugh in shock, but I can't help but feel so happy for Layla. From the time that we've spent with the boys, I've noticed that Layla and Zayn are nearly inseparable, and she seems so happy with him. Even though they haven't known each other for long, it is nice to see someone treat Layla so well.
"Layla, that is amazing! We have to pick out your outfit and decide what you're going to do for makeup and hair! When is he coming to pick you up?" I ask.
She whispers, "Seven, tomorrow night."
The elevator doors open, and we both run to our door, frantic to get inside and get ready.
Unlocking the door, I let us both in, and right once Layla entered the room she sprinted towards her room. I heard the closet doors swing open.
Giggling, I followed her and saw her laying her clothes out everywhere.
"What are you doing?"
"I'm trying to find out what I'm going to wear! I have nothing!" Layla whined, running her small hands through her long brown hair.
I stared at her with an amused expression. "Um, Layla, the date isn't until tomorrow night. Just chill." I walked over to the mess of clothes, and started searching through them. She has a lot of clothes.
While I was searching, I heard her muttering to herself, I managed to catch the words, 'shop', 'too fancy' and 'too casual'. "Layla, you don't need to go shopping for any more clothes, really, you don't. And.. I think I found something." I say as I lift up a pretty dress, decorated in black lace and dark pink fabric.
Layla grins in approval, then frowns, "What shoes, though?"
I got up and walked over to her big closet and began looking through her huge supply of shoes. When I thought I found a perfect candidate for it, I grabbed them and hand them to Layla. They were heels the same color as the top and had a criss cross pattern going up the shoe and laces at the top.
Layla nods, "Seems like you've been learning, Em."
"After being friends with you for four years, I think I should've." I joked. I was happy for Layla. She has been single for a few years ever since her ex-boyfriend cheated on her during his summer vacation to France.
