-Chapter 2-

love at first sight.

~Siya's pov~

"Holy shit, who's that?" Kayla was the first to speak in the whole class. The guy entered the class and kept his bag on a random place and started searching for someone. After the girls in the class(other than Anna, Nikki and Arya ) were done checking the guy out, they started off with their usual gossip sessions. Anna and I did a small eye contact and shook our heads when we heard whispers like he looks so good coming from all over the class.

I looked at Kayla to see her literally drooling over the guy. I face palmed myself hard not understanding the logic behind girls drooling over guys. Because according to me, we only drool over tasty food and definitely NOT over guys. I forcefully pushed Kayla's lower jaw so that it could make contact with her upper jaw.

"Ow! What the heck Siya! I bit my tongue!" she said, covering her mouth with one hand. "Yeah, I did that on purpose. You should give yourself time to move on before you even think of getting in another relationship. If you don't, you will regret rushing into things like these." I said and I walked back to our group.

After a few minutes of talking, the bell to our first period rang and we had to go to our class.

*fast forward 1 hour later

"ughhhh! When will this period end?!?!?" Nikki groaned as she was half slipping down her seat. The first day was basically all free for us. We were supposed to meet up and talk with our classmates for a span of almost 6 hours. I slept off for the first period, depressed that all the good people in our class were replaced with complete package of bullies, toppers, glamour girls and the stupid football team. I was rudely woke up by Nikki literally kicking me in my stomach real hard. It still hurt.

We were so bored that we played X and O for half an hour. Both of us started slipping down our seats complaining about how bad the day was, until the bell rang and we both fell down our seats with loud thuds. We looked at each other and smiled.

Our faces looked like we were little kids who just got allowed to go to the park on our own, her eyes were twinkling with joy and so were mine. We quickly got up and sped to the other class to start ranting to our respective best friends about how bad our day was. I, for the first time in my life, ran faster than Nikki did. I jump hugged Anna and we both fell down on the floor. When I got up, I noticed the new guy sitting beside her.

"Hello! My name's Siya! What's yours?" I smiled as I put my hand forward for a handshake. "Hi. My name is Rohit." he said shaking my hand slightly. "Nice to meet you Rohit!" I said in the same excited voice as before and he just looked away. 'awkwardddd' I thought to myself and started looking around to find Anna still flat on the floor. 'Oops almost forgot about that'.

She glared at me and I offered her a hand while giving her a sheepish grin. She got up and lightly hit me on the back of my head. She the smiled when I started ranting about how bad my day was. AND THERE ARE STILL 4 HOURS LEFT!! She took her breakfast from her tiffin bag and started making her way towards Arya's desk. We talked about various topics and sooner than expected the short break ended.

Nikki and I started crying dramatically over how we'd meet Anna and Arya only after two hours of boredom. "I'll tell you all about it when I see you again." we sang as we exit the class, wiping our fake tears from our face to add more dramatic effect to our exited in slow motion. We dreaded the moment we entered our class again, when we saw the football people spanking each other for fun. Our faces scrunched up in disgust as we walked to our desks on the window side of the class. Thank the lords above for saving the window seats for us.

*flash forward 2 hours.

By this time, Nikki and I both were regretting or decision of coming to school today. All we did was sleep and drool on our desks. We tried asking the teacher to let us go to the next class so we could properly catch up to Anna and Arya. She denied. So me and Nikki silently went to our seats and started making theories about what if the teacher is really jealous of our friendship and how she has no friends because of her rudeness. Maybe we went a bit too far with the theory, but it was the only thing saving us from the boredom that had surrounded us.

"In a world full of the boredom, theories against the teachers were our only saviors."

When Nikki was sleeping, I wrote down the long ass speech I had decided to give to Kayla about how she shouldn't think whatever she was thinking about Rohit. When Nikki woke up.

"Hey." She said sleepily as she tapped on my shoulder. "Hi! Good morning!" I said smiling at her. "Is it break yet?" she asked and I glanced at my watch. "No, not until another 15 minutes." I told her, frowning in the process. She frowned and let her head loose. BANG! I turned back with so much force, I think heard a crack, just to see Nikki rubbing her head. We both smiled at each other rubbing the parts that were hurt.

The bell rang and the pain was forgotten. The over joyed expression returned to our faces as we grabbed our lunch bags and ran towards the next class as if our pants were on fire. This time I nodded at Anna and went towards Kayla to talk to her about the things I'd decided to talk to her in the free time. I set my lunch bag on her seat and stared her down and then I started with the speech.

"Kayla listen, according to me you really shouldn't do this to yourself. You know Arnold would not mind it but I think you should actually take some time out for yourself and not think about all this just yet. Try to focus more on your studies, cause even you know this will lead you nowhere.."

"You won't know Siya, this is love at first sight." She interrupted my speech and I face-palmed like I had never before.
