Why would she say that?!
~Siya's pov~
After our group was done with the festoons,Rohit, Sachin, Tarun, Kayla and I went to see if any of the other sections needed help.
When I glanced across the room to see if any of the jobs were interesting, I saw 2 idiots from the other half of the committee making a huge soda bottle, they said their main idea was to put numerous giant straws in the bottle, the straws would have the names of our seniors which would be picked out for the selection of couples for the couple dances. 'Lame', i I thought as I moved on to see the next huge project going on in the art room: the flower arch.
The arch was supposed to be placed at the main entrance of the area allotted to the farewell celebration. Looking at the arch at that point made me feel sorry for it. The stem was thick and it looked as real as it could, but the branches looked like they were dead. In all the tree was half healthy and half depressed. There was also a slight chance the it might commit suicide during the function. I stopped looking at the tree and turned my attention towards the corner of the room were Anna and Nikki were sitting.
I went closer to them and saw Anna's eyebrows furrowed in concentration as she painted perfectly on the photo props. There were a few other photo props spread all around her, each one drawn and painted to perfection. I looked at the many photo props i awe and then lifted my head to spot Nikki intently staring at the prop I was staring at. She looked at me and then smiled. Me being the drama kween that i am i bowed to her and she giggled.
Nikki giggling made Anna look at me and then she handed me the invitation card for the farewell. I was beautiful with intricate patterns cut out of the main cover, the inside of the card was black with the details of the "Homecoming" written in gold calligraphy. Anna looked proudly at the masterpiece in my hands. "Could you please go and get the signatures of the teachers on the invitation?" Anna asked me as she got back to painting her photo prop. "YEah sure!" I said and proceeded to skip out of the art room.
"Take one of the guys with you!" Nikki called out. "WHY?" I asked after I finished dramatically and slowly turning around. "They'll just be a drag here." Anna said still very focused on painting the photo prop. "They're always around you anyways." Nikki said, teasingly and Anna slightly nodded in agreement. I shrugged and went on my way around the hall searching for Sachin or Tarun to go with me.
After a while of searching I found both of them messing around with the teachers computer, and Rohit sat near the window thinking about something. " Hey people, what's up?" I asked both of them as I neared them. They both looked at me with weird creepy smiles on their faces. I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion and looked at Rohit. He shrugged as if he didn't know what these computer geeks were up to.
"Just wait and watch." Sachin said when he looked at me looking at Rohit and so I did. Sachin added his finishing touches to the thing he was working on and then a new internet explorer icon appeared on the desktop, he deleted the old internet explorer icon. He got up from the chair and rubbed his hands as if he was an evil genius and made his way towards where Rohit and I were standing with Tarun right at his tail.
The next thing we saw was a teacher make her way towards the computer. She sat on the chair and clicked on the fake Internet explorer icon that Sachin had just introduced to the desktop and the computer proceeded to shut down right after. The teacher was confused as everything was going the wrong way. When I turned to look at Sachin it looked like he was having a hard time controlling his laughter, and Tarun looked at Sachin with a hint of pride in his eyes.
I looked back at the teacher who got the computer started again and clicked on the internet explorer icon and the same thing happened again. I felt someone behind me. Before I could turn around I heard Sachin. "I created a program which would shut the computer down everytime she clicked on the internet explorer icon." He said. and instead of moving from the place, he stayed put.
"SACHIN!" the teacher yelled. Sachin offered the teacher a smile and went to her with Tarun right at his tail. That left Rohit and I alone. By then I guess it could stand this piece of shit for a little while. "Hey, Anna wanted me to get signatures of teachers with some guy, and Tarun and Sachin are busy so do you wanna come?" I asked Rohit with complete disinterest. "Ya sure." Rohit said with a hint of a smile on his face. 'weird piece of shiz'
