Stoopeed
As soon as I got back home, I freshened up and started looking through my phone for messages from people. I rarely get any and I feel like that's sad, because my once very happening social life is now no longer in existence.
Once I confirm to see there are no messages I start scrolling through my Instagram feed for fun. There are more meme pages than people in my following list and so the Instagram feed always makes me smile in my worst times. While scrolling through the feed and enjoying myself to the fullest, my phone vibrates, and I have a HUGE heart attack, this never happens. IT'S A CHRISTMAS MIRACLE! (Christmas was about a month ago).
I open my inbox to check who actually thought of me in their free time.
rohit_rox: Hey!
WHY
Me: Hi, where's the photo?
rohit_rox: Ouch, it hurts that you're only talking to me to know about her.
Me: Whatever. You sending it or not?
@rohit_rox sent you a photo.
rohit_rox: Here
: Don't show it to anyone else.
Me: I'll think about it.
I type my last message and click on the photo. There were 2 girls standing in the picture, I guessed that the girl wearing the white dress was Leah, but just for confirmation. I asked him which one was her and he told me that she was the one wearing the white dress.
She was pretty, her hair reached her shoulder and she had huge glasses, she smiled widely as she wrapped one arm around the other girls' shoulder. I imagined Leah with Rohit and for some reason it just didn't feel right.
Me: She's pretty! 😊
rohit_rox: I know.
Me: I gotta go bye!
I messaged as my planned break time was over and I had to go study now.
After a while of studying I got my phone and started scrolling through my feed again. For a person with almost no friends I sure was online a lot. As soon as I connected my phone to the wifi I got the regular flooding of notifications from meme pages and I had gotten 3 new messages.
@rohit_rox, @nikkishere @anna sent you a message.
After scrolling through their messages and deciding to reply to Anna, I went ahead and took a hot shower. Aah how good it felt to take care of myself for like 5 minutes in that day. it was bliss. After coming out of the shower and wearing my most comfy pajama I spent some time with family discussing the most exciting thing ever with them: Our new house. We had already planned on shifting to Mumbai but hadn't so much thought about when. The the time finally came for us to shift, the house wasn't ready so we rented another apartment just 5 minutes away from where we planned on staying originally. Then, we decided to renovate the our place before fully moving in and it was very exciting.
Before going to bed I washed my face and checked my phone for text messages, Ray texted me all the sweet things he's always said for the past 2 years now without fail every night and it showed me how much he's always cared and it sort of made me feel sorry because I had started losing feelings for him and I was too scared to voice out my feelings to him. I messaged him a bit too long of a goodnight message try a bit too hard to mask my own feelings and then proceeded to check other chats.
Today an astonishing number of people had texted me and one of them was Rohit, 'has he suddenly started assuming that we're friends?' was the first thing that came to my mind after I saw the notification. 'stoopeed'
