I wake up to the harsh sound of my ringtone.
"Hel-"
"I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU'RE LEAVING!!!" my best friend Maya screams whilst holding back tears. I can tell she's about to cry because... well, I'm her best friend.
"Maya, I told you this months ago! Don't melt down on me, I need somebody to help me through. I'll miss you like crazy, but you will find another best friend and I will text you and email you and call you every day! We can Skype tonight, ok?" I say, also holding back tears. I wasn't going to cry today, I'm kind of over the fact that I have to move, but hearing her voice, and how sad it sounded, made me start crying.
"KADI! LET'S GO YOU CAN'T SLEEP ALL DAY!" I hear my dad yell from downstairs.
"Coming!"
I grab the last bag out of my room and the blanket and pillow that I slept on the floor with because everything else was loaded into the moving truck last night. I run and jump into the car and we start driving.
"Next stop, North Carolina!" my dad half yells.
I can tell he is really excited. if he's going to be happy, I guess I can be happy too.
Wow... that's another short, unedited chapter! Sorry bout that! Hahaa but I'm writing another right this second so keep up with me ;)
