Okay, so..... This chapter won't be as good as the others because I was really drained from how long the last one was and all the detail I put into it, but I think you'll like the end of this chapter.

After the party, Gale and I headed outside to thank everyone for coming. It was like a tragedy for Gale to have to say goodbye to Finn. He held the tired little boy in his arms and you could see the dread he had to let him go. He kissed Finn on the forehead and then handed him over to Annie. Finn was fine at first until Annie got him in her car and he started to ask for Gale. When Annie said no, Finn stated screaming and crying. You could see, even though it was dark outside by the lit up buttons in the car, the tears streaming down his face. I looked up at Gale and thought he was going to cry too, but when they were out of sight, Gale swooped me up in his arms and spun me around.

When everyone has left, Gale surprises me by leading me to the meadow instead of going directly home. We sit in the waist high grass together, hidden by it all. It feels almost as if it's our private meadow. It's only September so the air is warm with a cool breeze, but Gale wraps me in his arms anyways.

"I'm not gonna be able to sleep tonight," Gale says as I lay my head on his shoulder.

"And why is that?" I ask. He pulls me into his lap and says,

"Because, I'm too excited." I giggle at this and tilt my head upward a little on his arm to see the stars better. I just wanna stay here forever. Live here, die here. What makes it ten times better is being in Gale's arms.

"Me too," I reply. After a while, I take my eyes off the stars to see Gale. He's not at all looking at the stars like I was. Instead, he's gazing at me in awe.

"Close your eyes," he whispers.

"Why?" I ask, the smile already plastered on face widening.

"Just do it," he says softly and brushes his hand over my eyelids to close them himself. I'm still smiling as I wait. What I get is unexpected. I feel two gentle kisses on each eyelid and open my eyes again.

"Now you do me," he says and closes his eyes. As I lean in to do so, he opens his eyes again and moves his face to make our lips connect instead. My smile hasn't vanished yet and as his lips are against mine I smile bigger and brighter if it's even possible. Then, I feel Gale gently begin to push me to the grass and I pull away.

"We should go home," I suggest. He narrows his eyebrows together in confusion.

"Why?" he asks. He presses our lips together again and pushes me down completely to where he's lying on top of me.

"Because," I say pulling away again. "We can't just sleep here." He laughs at this and leans in for the third time, not even replying. I let him kiss me a little. It does feel great. It's just odd knowing we're most likely being watched by paparazzi. There's no privacy anywhere except our home, even when the grass seems like it's covering us.

I feel his hands slide up and down my sides. He diligently lifts my shirt just above my stomach and his fingertips continue to stroke up and down against my bare skin. I feel chills run throughout my body and I must've somehow reacted to his touch by shivering or something because he starts to kiss me deeper. Finally, I pull away and he's smirking a bit.

"C'mon Gale. You're still in your suit, I'm still in my dress. Let's go home and get ready for bed, okay?" He lets out a brief sigh, but ends up agreeing anyway under one condition.

"Can we kiss more there though?" he begs. I feel my heart flutter a bit and my stomach turn. It's kind of cute when he says this. His eyes are all big and hopeful. But I do worry only because I don't want things to get . . . Out of hand.
