Chapter 2: How Important am I to You?

Sidon climbed up to the edge and got out of the water, standing next to Link. His entire body was dripping with water. Without the jewelry, he still looked dazzling as the water dripped down his chest. He caught Link staring at his body. Sidon put his hand on Link's waist and pulled him closely.

"You are the most important thing I've ever seen, Link" His other hand ran through the Hylian's long gold hair. Link blushed even more. "What's gotten into you..." Link asked. Sidon removed his hands and pulled them away. "I-I...I thought...I thought that was how Hylians show their affection."

Sidon looked down blushing in embarrassment and put his hands behind his back. Link looked at him shocked. "Oh Sidon.." Link cupped Sidon's cheeks and pulled him closer, kissing his forehead. "Master Link. I'm so sorry for what I did" Sidon grabbed Link's hand and kissed his knuckles. "Your affection is appreciated, Link." Link looked away.

"I always wanted to tell you something else" Link added, "I li-". "Prince Sidon, the King wants to see you" A Guard called out to Sidon. "I'm sorry Link, we can talk later!" Sidon ran down the stairs as he put on his jewelry, shining brighter than before. Link sighed and pulled his shirt on.

Link's smile turning into a frown. Sidon had been called to his father, he could feel Link's loneliness. "Sidon, my boy, I heard the Hylian Champion is here in the Domain." The King said. Sidon nodded "Yes father, he's here for his year long vacation....I'm glad he's here..." Sidon mumbled the last part.

"Well, Sidon. I need you by his side at all times." His father added. The tall Zora was confused but happy knowing he'd have to be close to Link. "W-Why?" Sidon asked. "He's the Hyrule Champion, and even on vacation he needs to be protected. I trust you with his life" His father looked at him sternly. "Yes Father, I won't let you down." Sidon walked away from his father, and searched for Link.
