Chapter 5: Secret Romance

It was 4:30pm now. The couple had spent their morning talking to each other in the Inn, hanging out by themselves. "Tell me about the Gerudo Desert" Sidon said. "What is it like". Link sighed. "Oh I was so dehydrated I couldn't piss for like an entire week". Sidon started laughing. "Pffft, I'm sorry I asked!". Sidon was intrigued to hear any story that Link had to tell about his adventures. Even if they were a little weird. "I still have a sunburn from months ago". He perked his head up. "Where?" He asked. Link was fluffing his own hair and scowled. "Not important" his face going a bit pink.

He's just so cute when he's mad like. I caressed his cheek and kiss his cheek. "You're so cute". Link pouted. "I'm not cute. I'm actually really scary". I rolled my eyes "Sure. You surely are". Link got up and sat on the floor, quietly whispering 'roar'. "Little Hylian, what are you doing?" I chuckled nervously. He stood up and faced me. Looking directly at me, he brought his hands up and whispered "rawr". I was internally screaming. OH MY GODDESS, HE'S TOO CUTE! I can't believe I'm dating the cutest little thing ever! Link could see the redness in my face, and I didn't like it. "You're the cutest little Hylian I've ever seen" I whisper. Link narrowed his brows. "Did you just call me little?" He crossed his arms and glared at me. I chuckled a little before swooping him up and pulling him into a hug. "Of course. You're so small and cute, I can't resist you". I plant a kiss to his cheek and he blushes, looking away shyly. "Anyway love, care to take a little dip into the water with me?" I ask. Link giggles and kisses my cheek. "Sure"

•••Normal POV•••

Sidon grabbed Link's hand and intertwined his fingers as they headed towards the East Reservoir Lake. All the Zoras walking by watched as the couple blushed and looked at each other happily. Link's ears perked up as he noticed people watching. He tried to pull away from Sidon's hand. "What's wrong Link?" Sidon asked, oblivious to the attention he's drawing. "There's people watching us, Sidon. . ." Link whispered. "So?" Sidon is still sort of confused. Link grew impatient and drew his hand back from Sidon completely. "Everyone is watching us hold hands and we haven't even told them yet. Only the King knows." Link whispers and grunts.

Sidon awkwardly chuckled. "Oh, right. Forgot about that. Anyway, we're here!" They both look across the lake, the glistening water looking lovely in the afternoon sun. Link stripped down to his undergarments. Sidon stared at him as he slipped out of his clothes. Sidon took off his jewelry carefully, still watching Link. Link turns around and looks at Sidon directly. "O-Oh I'm s-sorry!" Sidon covers his eyes, blushing intensely. Link pushes him into the water and chuckles. "Who said you couldn't look?~". Sidon popped his head up from the water and groaned as he pulled Link into the water with him. "You sure are a bundle of joy". He laid on his back and floated gracefully on the water. Link forced his way onto him and laid there. He ruffles Link's hair. "So, how has my little Hylian been recently?" Sidon asked. "Well, since you were gone during the morning after last night, I decided to go pay a visit to your father" Link mumbled the last part. "Why'd you go visit my father?" Sidon asked, a little confused. "He wanted to talk to me about us, after Muzu barged in there screaming about it yesterday." He snuggled into Sidon's chest, frown forming on both their faces. "..Your Father talked about us getting married..." Sidon blushed deeply.

"Me and Link...getting married?! I'm just a Prince, and he's Hyrule's Hero. I'm definitely unfit to be his husband. And, we just started dating. I wouldn't want to rush it, would ?" Sidon thought to himself. Silence overcame both of them. The only sound was their heartbeats and the water. "Would you ever want to marry me?" Sidon asks. "You're great Sidon. I would love to marry you in the future..but.." Link sighed. Sidon's heart shattered as he heard the but. "Oh no..Did I make him feel uncomfortable? Maybe he doesn't love me enough.." Sidon thought. "I'm sorry if you don't want to answer. I'm sorry." Sidon sighed. "N-No! It's fine, it's just. I'm not good enough for you. You're gonna be king some day, and I don't want to bring you down. Since I'm just a lowlife Hylian who shouldn't be near you." Link covered his eyes and hurried his face into Sidon's chest. "How could you talk about yourself like that" Sidon snapped at him. He put Link on the edge of the dock and sat next to him. "Look at me Link. You're adorable, you make my heart flutter every time we're together. Don't let Muzu's words get to you. I promise, I will love you forever and you will never bring me down. You will only rise me up. Link, love, my pearl. You are the best person I've ever met, and I'm glad that I get to call you my lover." Sidon tightly hugged Link. Link wrapped his arms around Sidon's neck and hugged him as tight as he could. Link started to cry, tears rolling down his cheeks. "You're my precious pearl" Sidon whispered into Link's ear. "I-I..I love you.." Link choked back sobs as he tried to speak.

Link and Sidon were in the Private Chambers...Sidon's room. Watching the sunset from out the window. He planted a kiss onto Link's head and ruffled through his hair. "You're really cute" Sidon whispers. Link pecks his cheek "So are you". He looked at Link up and down. He surely is cute. Link wore this long sleeve tunic that went past his hands. It was too big for him, "So cuteee~!" Sidon thought as he blushed. "What are you looking at, Sidon?" Link was looking directly at his pink cheeks. "N-Nothing!!" Sidon looked away quickly. "It's getting pretty late, you should go to bed" He said. Link pouted. "You don't have to treat me like a baby, you know." Link whispered back, giving him another peck on the cheek. "But seriously, please go to bed, my pearl" He placed Link on the bed. "But Sid-". A knock was at the door. Sidon headed for the door, only opening it slowly as he poked his head out. "What is it?" Sidon whispered. Bazz, the guard at the door, looked at Sidon. "Your father told me to tell you 'Don't do anything stupid to him' but I'm not sure what he was talking about" Bazz looked away and Sidon closed the door.

"Is everything okay, Sidon?" Link asked. Sidon stood there sweat nervously. "Oh it was nothing, my love, nothing at all!" He chuckled awkwardly. Having his father know about the two didn't make anything easier.

"You sure?"
"I'm sure"
