As we drove off in his car, I noticed just how stupid I was. Im in a car alone with an unknown guy that I just met today. I could feel the anxiety swelling up in my stomach. He noticed my look of discomfort and slightly tightened his grip on the steering wheel. He smirked, "You seem to have just noticed you accepted a ride from a random guy you just met." He had a bit of playful sarcasm in his voice. I looked down as my cheeks tingles, "That's because I did..heh" I let out a nervous laugh. He slowed to a stop at a red light. "Left or right?" "R-Right.." He ran his hand through his blonde hair as he waited. He glanced at me, still seeing my discomfort. I just shifted my body towards the car door.

"What's your name?" I was a bit surprised at the question. My eyes locked onto his. "Kristine, and yours.?" "Jackson, but call me Jax." He sent a warm smile my way as I gave a soft smile back. He turned right and I gave him more directions until we got near my apartment. "I cannot thank you enough, you were..more than impressive back there." He nodded and smirked, "Anytime." We pulled up and I walked out. He insisted in walking me to my apartment and I was actually a little scared to say no to him. He opened the front door for me as we climbed the stairs. "Thanks again." I said as we stopped at my door." I was about to search my bag for my key when he suddenly grabbed my hand and gently kissed the top of it. I could feel the temperature in my cheeks rising instantly. "Your welcome darling.

I finally found my key and quickly unlocked my door as I waved one last time at him. He smiled warmly and waved back before turning around and walking down the stairs. I closed the door only to see Kayla in my face, giving me the look she always gave me before bombarding me with questions. I ran to my room tying to escape her and barley succeeded, I quickly locked my bedroom door and threw my sneakers off and plopped onto the bed. I ended up whispering to myself out of complete and utter confusion as well as astonishment. "What. Just. Happened."
