As we walked into the diner the smell of a fresh meal hit me. Kayla and I grabbed a booth, looking at everyone in the establishment. Everyone seemed to just be normal elders or teenagers with nothing better to do but eat. After our waitress started us off with some drinks my eyes shot up to the door when I heard the bell go off. A slim, yet muscular guy walked in. He stopped after the door closed behind him and started looking around, I assume he was trying to find a table. He was a bit tall, with deep blue sea eyes and dirty blonde hair. Our eyes met and I almost instantly started to melt in his eyes. I quickly tore my gaze off of him and to my menu as I felt my cheeks slightly heat up. I could feel him looking at me as he made his way to a nearby table and scanned through his menu.

After I finished eating I just waited for Kayla on one of the outdoor benches set up by the door. I scanned through my phone messages as I heard footsteps start coming towards me. I didn't take my eyes off of the screen until I curiously looked up enough to see that the man from inside was now sitting on the bench across from me. I crossed one leg over the other as I silently took in all of his facial features, he was perfect. He glanced over at me as my eyes glued themselves back down to the phone as my cheeks faintly turned red from the embarrassment. He smirked and leaned forward.

Kayla walked out and seemed like she ate a little too much than her body liked. "Sorry Kris, I'm gonna call a taxi, I will actually die if I try to walk home." I chuckled and told her that I would jog or something for the exercise. I then watched as her car was out of sight and started jogging down the sidewalk away from the diner. As I passed a darker pathway leading into the woods I was being watched by three guys. One nodded to another as I picked up the pace. I was suddenly yanked back and dragged into the dark pathway and was harshly pushed up against the wall of a building. Terrifying smirks were now glued on the face of one guy. The other two just looked at me up and down. The guy held me by my throat as it was now challenging to yell for help, and breathe for that matter.

I squeezed my eyes shut and only when I heard a loud and low growl is when I decided to open them. I was shocked as I stared at the man from the diner holding one of the men by his throat as the other two watched wide eyed. The guy holding me let go and lunged at the man while I recovered. He immediately stepped aside and let him stumble forwards, almost losing balance. He then kicked the attacker down and dropped the other man watching the third one run for his life. Then, our eyes locked onto each other again, I could just drown in those eyes.

"You okay? Did they hurt you?" His voice was low and husky, but in some odd way, soothing. "N-No, I was just really scared and felt hopeless an-" I was cut off when I noticed him pulling me up off the ground and continued to carry me away from the dark pathway. I felt soothed and relaxed at his touch, he was so warm. "I could drive you back to your place if you would like." "Thanks, I..I appreciate it" he nodded and led me to his car as we starting driving off.
