Chapter 5

Jax carefully took my hand and dragged me down the stairs. I could tell he was happy I agreed to go from the look in his eye. He opened the car door for me and excitedly jogged to the driver's side. We drove off and after a while we approached a dirt path I've never seen before. Nothing here seemed familiar at all, just trees and the dirt road in front of us. "Can I know where we're going now?" I asked looking out my window. His grip on the steering wheel tightened ever so slightly. I guess he was expecting the drive to be silent, and it was until now. "Nope, but I think you'll like it" he smirked as we pulled into the driveway of a house, which was surprising since we were in the middle of the woods. I don't know what it was about this house but I was drawn to it.

"Welcome to my home doll. He said opening my car door. I hopped out and took it all in. It was sweet and cozy, I definitely wouldn't think someone like Jax would live here. I know I only met him a few days ago, but I feel like I've known forever. I felt something towards him, something I've never felt towards anyone else. "C'mon, I'll show you inside" he placed his hand on my lower back and guided me towards the door. I melted into his touch as he opened the door revealing a cozy little home. A small, round dining table with chairs sat in the middle of the room with the kitchen to its right. To the far left was a cozy fireplace with a white leather couch and fur rug. "Wow....just wow" was all I could say. Jax seemed amused by my loss of words and wandered into the kitchen. "Can I get ya anything to drink?" He asked, poking his head out of the kitchen. I shook my head and walked to the table that had a small fruit bowl in the middle. I sat down as Jax walked in and sat across from me.
