You groaned and sat up. You then winced and held your head in pain.

"Ow, that hurt." You mumbled. You then looked around you and your eyes widened. Surrounding you were robot parts. You stood up and dusted yourself off. "The junkyard? Am I...in the past?" You muttered. You then glanced up at school and your eyes widened. Sitting in the sky was a floating island. You stepped back in shock. "Oh no, I'm in the past!" You looked around you and frowned. "He sent me here, but he knows that I won't do anything." You then clenched your fists. "I hope that Astro is okay." You gave the floating island one last glance. You then noticed something standing at the edge of the island.

At the edge of the island, Alfred looked down at you. He smiled at you before turning around. You gasped at this.

"Alfred! Come back here!" You cried. You then gritted your teeth. "Great, just great. I had to land here of all places." You mumbled. You then sat down on the ground in thought. "How am I going to get back up there?" You closed your eyes as you hummed in thought. Your ear then twitched when you picked up some familiar voices and your eyes snapped open.

"Come on, Cora. We've already checked this way. We're not going to find anything." Zane complained as he and Cora rounded the corner. Cora stopped and gave Zane a look.

"You never know! We just might find something." You hid behind a pile of broken robots and covered your mouth, trying to quieten your breathing. If they found you here, then the past would be altered. As you listened to their voices, an idea came to you. Hold on, they mentioned something before about going to Metro city in a flying car. If you managed to get a hold of that car, then you could go to Metro city!

You peeked your head around the corner to see that their backs were turned to you. You then shook your head. No, way too many kids to sneak through. You would need a disguise. Your attention then turned towards their conversation.

"We can't go back until we've found at least one robot part." Zane told. Cora sighed and nodded.

"Yeah, I know. But where are we going to find a robot part that might still work?" Cora questioned. You eyed then. Robot parts? You then turned towards some robot pieces and smiled. You had a plan.

As Zane and Cora were arguing, they heard rustling and some clanking of metal. They turned their heads towards the pile you were hidden behind and glanced at each other. The two of them then raced around the corner and skidded to a halt when they saw a robot that looked to be relatively in one piece. This robot twitched slightly before stopping. The two children glanced at each other and grinned.

"We found a robot!" The two exclaimed before picking up the robot and dragging it back to the orphanage.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You stayed limp as Cora and Zane dragged you back towards the orphanage. You had managed to drag out a robot's body and rip out its inner wiring, leaving the body hollow. You were pretty impressed with yourself for this disguise. You actually looked like a robot! Cora and Zane gleefully skipped up to the door and knocked on it. The two were met with a pair of eyes which narrowed down at them.
"What's the password?" A small girl's voice questioned. Cora let go of your arm and rested her hands on her hips.
"Don't make me hurt you." Cora threatened. The girl squeaked and crouched down.
"C-close enough." You struggled to hold in your giggles. You then heard a click and soon enough, the door opened. Cora and Zane dragged you into the orphanage and carried you towards the workshop where a man named Hamegg worked. Hamegg was whistling a small tune when he heard a knock on the wall and turned around to see Cora and Zane.
"Ah, Cora, Zane! Good to see that you made it back. So, what did you bring me today?" The cheery man questioned. Cora and Zane grinned and lifted up both your arms. Hamegg's eyes widened. He then rushed over to you and checked your limbs. "My oh my, this robot feels quite sturdy. Great find, kids! I'll work on it in right after we have dinner." Hamegg told. Cora and Zane grinned and nodded. The three of them then left you in the workshop alone as they all went to eat dinner. You waited until they were gone before sitting up and sighing.
"Phew, they're finally gone. Now I can get to that car without any interruptions." You whispered. You then stood up and walked over to Hamegg's desk, looking for the keys to the car. You made sure to keep your disguise on just in case anyone saw you. You shuffled through the draws and pushed papers aside. Once you heard some jingling you immediately knew that you had found what you were looking for. You grinned and snatched up the keys into your hands. "Perfect, now time to get out of here." You turned around and crept out of the workshop.
You peaked your head around the corner to see everyone enjoying slices of pizza. You smiled slightly. You then crept down the steps, being careful to not let the robot pieces clank together. On the last step however, your foot slipped and you fell on your back. You let out a sharp gasp as a clanging emitted around the room, bringing everyone's attention towards you. Everyone stared at you with wide eyes. Grace, a small girl wearing a beanie, pointed at you.
"Look! A robot!" She exclaimed. Cora gasped.
"It's the same robot Zane and I found!" Hamegg stood up.
"Quickly, get it!" Your eyes widened as everyone dashed towards you. You hurriedly got up and dashed out the door. You then desperately looked around for a car of some sorts. You used your superior vision to scan the junkyard for a specific flying car. You glanced behind you too see that everyone was struggling to get out through the door. Your eyes widened at this. They looked like a bunch of hyenas! Spit came out of their mouth as they yelled at each other. Then it seemed to happen slowly.
They all pushed their way through the door.
They all bared their teeth at you like wild dogs.
They jumped at you.
You ran.
You breathed heavily as the pack of hyenas chased after you. Why were they so savage!? You desperately searched for the car. That was when a flash of pale green caught your eye. Your eyes widened and you grinned. Score! You ran towards the car and held out the car keys. You then shoved it into the lock and swung the door open in about a millisecond. You climbed into the car and slammed it shut just as Sludge slammed his face against the window. Your eyes widened and you shoved the key into the ignition slot. You then twisted it and forced the car to start. It wouldn't.
"Hurry! Before that blasted robot breaks the car!" Hamegg cried. You bit your lip and kept twisting the key as everyone approached the car.
"Come on come on come on!" You cried. Finally, after the fifth turn, the car started. You grinned and slammed your foot on the peddle. It was a good thing that Cora had taught you how to drive. The car lifted into the air and you drove off as Hamegg fell to his knees. You gave him an apologetic look.
"I'll give it back, I promise!" You yelled before taking off towards Metro city. Hamegg's eyes widened.
"Did that robot just talk?" He questioned himself.
You gripped the steering wheel tightly as you made your way towards Metro city.
"Just you wait, Alfred. I'm coming for you." You whispered.
