Chapter 1
Zimed was born in April 16, 1995. He was a normal baby boy in almost everyway possible. He had black hair, blue eyes, and as he grew up he would become taller than his mother and just shorter than his dad. But since the day he was born he had a secret that no one else could know. His family didn't even know about it. He was able to turn into any animal he wanted to. He was able to control this skill well, though sometimes it wasn't so easy. Zimed's eye color changed, as well, for different emotions he has. His blue eyes were his main color of eyes. Though when he was angry his eyes changed to red, green meant happy, yellow meant nervous or concerned, lavender meant in love, light blue meant sad, brown meant hyper/ playful, and light green for depressed. He was a good kid in school. Zimed had straight-A's, never got written-up, and all his teachers loved him. He was pretty popular in school and got along with everyone there. Zimed lived in Middle Spring, a town that was quite literally near the middle of a spring, and went to Spring Middle School, the town's middle school. The teachers knew every student in their classes and were pretty nice. The principles there were cool and not too strict and were often out of their offices in the halls, interacting with the students. The state scores were pretty high as well.
One day, there was a new student in the school, which didn't happen as often. There was a knock at the door during Zimed's Math class. The vice principle, Mr. Miller, came in, "We have a new student. Her name is Claira. Let's make her feel right at home here." As he said this, a somewhat tall girl walked in. She had long, straight brown hair, with two long side-bangs. Her eyes were green and made her seem rather dark. Claira wore jeans, tennis shoes, and a regular black t-shirt.
"Hi," she said, in a bit of a shy voice.
"Please take a seat," said Mr. Williams, the Math teacher, pointing to the empty seat next to Zimed. Claira took the seat next to Zimed, which the teacher had pointed to. Mr. Miller called Zimed out into the hall.
"Be friends with Claira. She's on the same schedule as you and she's a nice girl," Mr. Miller said, after he shut the door.
"That's fine. I will. She looks shy though, so I'll have to boost her confidence said Zimed.
Zimed went back and took his seat. He leaned to his left a bit, where Claira was sitting, and said, "Hey. I'm Zimed. I'll be helping you to your other classes, we have the same classes."
Claira glanced at Zimed and then back at her work and her face turned a little red. Zimed smiled a little and thought, "I saw that." He went back to his work.
When the bell rang, Zimed and Claira gathered their stuff and Zimed said "Follow me." Claira nodded her head. Their next class was Technology, with Ms. Lewis, though a lot of the students called her Ms. L. "Hey Ms. L," Zimed said, "We got a new student. Her name is Claira. I'm going to be helping out to her classes and stuff."
"Ok. That's fine. She can sit by you," Ms. Lewis said, "Show her what to do." Zimed sat down on his normal seat and patted the spot next to him to signal Claira to sit there. She sat down and Zimed logged into her computer for her before logging into his.
Zimed whispered, "You're lucky, we are starting on a new assignment and haven't even gotten instructions yet on how to do the assignment." He smiled at Claira and asked, "You don't talk much do you?"
Claira glanced at him and said, "No. Not really. At least when I first meet people." She went to a keyboarding link that tests her typing speed. Once the test was done they found that she typed at 56 wpm (words per minute). Zimed got a surprised look on his face. That was almost as fast as his typing. No one in the class was as good as him. Though granted the class was an extremely small class, it only had 10 students.
The class had worked on their new assignment until the bell rang.
"Ok. Next is Art. We are going to my locker before. Make sure you have a pencil and eraser," Zimed said to Claira, going down the hall to his locker. He opened his locker and put his stuff away and then Claira's.
"Just as a warning to you, in Art the table I sit at is very talkative and loud," Zimed said, laughing a little, while he and Claira were walking to Art class. He sat down on a chair at a table and Claira sat next to him. A girl sat down across from Claira. She was average size; had frizzy, brown hair; and brown eyes. She had jeans, the school sweat shirt, and regular shoes on.
"Hey Abby. This is Claira," Zimed said, pointing at Claira.
"Hey Claira. I'm Abby," she said, holding her hand out to Claira. Claira shook hands with Abby and said, "Hey Abby." Then a tall guy came in.
After glancing up at the guy Abby said, "Oh god. It's Kyle." Zimed laughed a little at this as Kyle sat down next to Abby.
"Hi. I'm Kyle," he said, noticing Claira, who seem confused why Abby seemed so upset that Kyle was here.
"Hey. I'm Claira. I just moved here," she said. They got there Do Now done and started their work.
Before Abby could hurt Kyle, which she typically wants to do, Zimed switched spots with Abby. Eventually they got into an argument. This started to annoy Claira and then Kyle said, "Ok. But..."
This annoyed Claira even more so she stood up a bit, pointed at Kyle, and said, "No. You do not go on with an argument after saying 'Ok.' You basically admit that you give up on the argument and that your point is stupid. So just sit down, shut up, and get your work done."
Once she was done, she looked around the table. They had a look of shock. She looked at Zimed and saw how shocked he was. Claira sat back down on the stool, continued with her work, and was trying to hide her blushing face. Abby smiled and laughed and said, "Nice Claira."
Kyle and Abby got into more arguments about the most random things. Once the bell rang it was time to go to Science. They went back to Zimed's locker and got their stuff back and then went to Science.
Claira sat next to Zimed at a table. Then a girl sat down in front of Claira. She was just shorter than average and had very curly, short brown hair and brown eyes. "Hi. I'm Addie," she said to Claira.
"Hey. I'm Claira," she said in response to Addie. A kind of average height guy sat next to Addie. He had black hair and brown eyes.
Before the guy could say anything Zimed said, "That's Tanner. He tends to have a bad attitude so don't mind him. By the way Tanner this is Claira."
Tanner glared at Zimed, who glared right back, then turned to Claira and said, "Hi."
"Hi," replied Claira, who started her work. She looked at Tanner and noticed that he wasn't doing his work.
"Why aren't you doing your work?" Claira asked.
"I don't know what to do," Tanner said, with a bit of attitude in his voice.
Addie turned to Tanner and said, "It's on the board."
"Where?" Tanner asked, looking at the board.
Zimed rolled his eyes and mumbled, "Idiot. It's in clear view and you have glasses on. How could you not see it?"
Tanner glared at Zimed, but then went back to his work. The bell rang and it was time for lunch now. The day went on as normal. After lunch it was Social Studies, and then finally Language Arts.
"Do you have a ride home?" asked Zimed.
"No. But I live close by. So I can walk home. Thanks anyways though," answered Claira.
Zimed thought for a moment and then said, "I know this town like the back of my hand. Could I take you home? I live close by as well."
Claira started to blush and said, "Sure. You can bring me home. Thanks."
Zimed smiled and said, "It's no problem."
