Chapter 18
They stood along the edge of a clearing in the woods. Angel and Zimed decided to save Claira that day. They looked at each other and nodded. Angel went behind Zimed and grabbed his hands, putting them behind his back. They walked into the clearing, Zimed acted as if he were struggling. They were allowed into the building, without questioning. Now they were home free. There wasn't any cameras in the building, except for the ones in the rooms. Angel let go of Zimed's hands and signaled Zimed to follow him.
The two walked down a long corridor. Once they got to the end, Angel stopped and turned to a door to the left of him. He pulled out a key and unlocked the door. He opened the door and let Zimed in before himself. He looked behind him, before quietly shutting the door. Angel flipped on the lights and Zimed saw Claira. She was laying there starting to wake up. Zimed's eyes changed to lavender then to dark green. They smiled widely at each other, but say anything because of Angel's warning.
Zimed walked up to Claira and picked her up. One arm was underneath Claira's knees. The other arm was around her waist. Claira had wrapped her arms, instinctly, around Zimed's neck. Angel signaled that it was time to go.
Meanwhile, Abby and Dark had distracted the guards at the door by throwing rocks toward the guards. When Stealth Fighter saw Claira, Zimed, and Angel at the door, he ran in the woods to the other side of the building and shouted, then ran towards the back, just incase they started to go back towards the door.
Once the guards left the door Angel and Zimed, who was still carrying Claira, ran as fast as they could into the cover of the woods. The group started heading back to Abby's garage after seeing the three disappear in the woods. Everyone had agreed to do so, as to save time and not risk getting caught.
After catching their breath, Angel and Zimed, still carrying Claira, continued walking to Abby's garage. They had reached Abby's garage after a long time of walking. Angel went in first. Then Zimed came in, who had carried Claira all the way. He set Claira down, allowing her to stand up. Claira kept one arm around Zimed, because she hadn't stood up in such a long time that she was sure to lose her balance.
Once everyone saw Claira standing, they all cheered and clapped for joy. It was a job well done and Claira was safe.
