»* Chapter Eight

"Morning," Kaminari greeted his half asleep boyfriend. As it turns out, Todoroki fell asleep a little bit after the movie while Kaminari stayed up. "Morning," Todoroki greeted back, followed by a yawn which he tried muffling with his hand. "Is anyone else up yet?"

"Nah, it's just you and me," Kaminari said, chewing on a bit of gum which Todoroki glared at him for.

"Gum shouldn't be the first thing you eat in the morning," he stated, flicking Kaminari on the forehead before going over to the coffee machine. Although he never really like the taste of the stuff, it helped him stay awake. "Who are you, my mom?" Kaminari teased. The red and white coloured male raised a brow at the blonde and said, "No, but it's my responsibility as your soulmate to make sure you eat and sleep properly." The blonde raised his brow, mirroring the other's actions, and took a sip of orange juice( mint gum still in mouth mind you). Todoroki squinted his eyes at his lover, silently contemplating why he had to be soulmates with the blonde. "Boi, what'chu looking at?" Kaminari muttered, swallowing the orange juice and gum along with it.

Todoroki just squinted harder and whispered, "I don't understand you sometimes."

"Awh, I love you too!~" Kaminari cooed, booping Todoroki on the nose. Todoroki scoffed, rolling his eyes and going back to fixing himself a cup of coffee. The rest of the morning was mostly a comfortable silence as the two sat on the sofa waiting for the rest of the class to wake up.

"I don't think they're used to sleeping late," Todoroki stated, glaring at Kaminari and taking a sip from his cup.

"Dude, I'm not the one who told you that you needed to stay up with me." Kaminari huffed, pouting out like a little child.

'Cute,' Todoroki thought, shifting his gaze to look at the gaming console in front of him. "Want to play something?" The boy placed his cup down on the table beside him and grabbed ahold of two controllers.

"Sure," Kaminari grinned, taking one controller off his boyfriend.

"Come on, that was so unfair!" Kaminari complained, his character appearing in 8th of Rainbow Road whileTodoroki got 1st. "I demand a rematch!"

"You're only going to lose again," Todoroki raised a brow, already switching tracks to a more easier one.

"Fine, let's make a bet," Kaminari said. "Out of three, the loser has to pay for the other's lunch for the rest of the week!"

"It's always food, isn't it?" Todoroki asked amused. "Fine, I'll join in this bet, even though I know I'll still have to pay for lunch if you lose." Kaminari furrowed his brow, a look of 'don't- underestimate-me-you-hoe' drawn on his face.

Alas, the two were only halfway through their second race when Hagakure woke up. The sudden motion of someone other than Todoroki spooked the blonde and caused him to lose the round. "I totally would have gotten that," Kaminari stated, trying to convince himself and his boyfriend who had a very smug look on his face.

"How long have the two of you been up?" Hagakure asked, sleepiness still lingered in her voice, which was followed by a muffled yawn. Todoroki shrugged and looked up at the clock that was hung on the wall. "About two hours I think."

Hagakure hummed, stretching her arms which could be seen as she wore a long sleeved shirt. "You two broke the dare last night, y'know." Hagakure said, the conversation she overheard replaying in her head. "It's okay though," the girl stood up. "I'll keep your secret."

Contrary to popular belief, Hagakure is actually quite intelligent( though it's not really shown in her grades as studying is the last thing on her mind), and can easily find things out. Maybe it's because she wasn't ever noticed in middle school which led her to watch from afar. To put it simply, she can read people easily; from the way they act, their facial expressions and tone. It's almost like a second quirk you could say.

"What do you mean 'secret'?" Kaminari asked, furrowing his brows in confusion. He received a soft giggle from the girl and a reply,

"You two are soulmates, right?"

Short? Yes.
Shitty? Yes.
Goes downhill? Yes.
Sorry this story's going downhill. The next chapter is gonna be Hagakure explaining how she knows and the one after that is a date >:)
