"On The Way To School"

When Shiro came back in the house, he grabs the car keys and his work bag. "Okay kids, let's head to school." Shiro announced ignoring the outburst from Matt. Keith, still shaken up from the fact that Matt said what he had said, gets up and grabs his bag. Then he heads to the car making Lance and Hunk to follow his lead.

Now alone with Matt, Shiro walks up to him trying to keep himself from frowning. "Matthew..." Shiro starts off before getting interrupted. "Look, I don't want to hear it old man. I'm just going to get in the car." Matt says before getting up and pushing Shiro to the side. "Let me tell you the truth ab-" "I don't want to hear it old man." Matt says while walking out the front door. "One day...you'll find out the truth about your dad and how horrible he is." Shiro mumbles to himself as he picks up Katie. "Ready to go to daycare little one?" Shiro asks Katie and she smiles and giggles for a response.

Shiro heads outside to his driveway where the kids are already in the car. He first go to the passenger's seat to put Katie in her baby car seat to strap her in. Then, he puts a pacifier in her mouth before heading to the driver's seat. Shiro gets in the car, starts it, then backs out of his driveway. Once he's done that, he drives his way to the daycare place called Zarkon's Daycare that's only 3 minutes away.

Once Shiro got there he said, "Keith, take Katie out and put her in the daycare. Here's the money." Shiro handed Keith a crisp 20, then Keith did as Shiro commanded.

In one hand Keith is only Katie in the other he's holding the money. He walks in the daycare surprised on how depressing it looks. Out of nowhere a girl comes storming to the front desk where Keith is at. "HI WELCOME TO ZARKON'S DAYCARE! I'M ZETHRID, IS THIS YOUR CHILD?!" Startled, Keith slowly responds, "Um...no, it's my dad's he's in the car..."
"WELL, I NEED A PARENT TO SIGN THESE RELEASE FORMS BEFORE WE CAN TAKE HER IN THE CARE. SO GO GET HIM SO HE CAN SIGN THE FORM." Zethrid yells on the top of her lungs. "Oh geez...okay." Before Keith walks away Zethrid says, "I'M SORRY FOR TALKING SOOO LOW, I LOST MY VOICE." "What the fuck...how does she sound normally?.."

Keith walks back out to get Shiro and comes back in the daycare. Meanwhile in the car, Lance Hunk and Matt are keeping themselves entertained. "Can you change the song Lance, I hate classical music." Matt said. "You're such a downer Matthew." Hunk tells him. "I don't care."

"Okay guys! Chill I'll change the song to something we will ALL like." Lance said. He takes out his aux cord and plugs it in his phone then connects it to the car. Lance types up a few things on his phone then plays vagina by cupcake. "Oh my god Lance turn this off before we get in trouble!" Hunk said but his voice muffled under the music. "Turn it up?!" Lance asks before turning up the radio. "NOO LANCE!!!" Hunk yells. "Hmm...I actually like this song." Matt tells Hunk to annoy him. "Ugghh what the frick."

In the corner of Lance's eye he sees Shiro coming out of the daycare with Keith and he pulls the aux cord out fast. When Shiro and Keith get back in the car Hunk bounces back up in his seat. "Dad, didn't you hear that?" Hunk asks him. Lance looked at him worried. "No, hear what?" Shiro asks. Hunk slouches back down in disappointment, "Ugh never mind."

Before Shiro starts driving he lights up a cigarette to smoke it. He rolls all the windows down then drives off to school. Keith sighs, "I wish he would quit...cigarettes are awful." Keith talks to himself. "And they stink." Hunk said joining in Keith's conversation. "Yeah... I would hate to loose him over a cigarette."

After a 15 minute ride to Garrison Heights Academy High school, Shiro parks the car in the teacher lot then puts out his cigarette. "Okay, let's go ki-" a hard dry cough interrupts Shiro's flow of speech. More blood than this morning comes out with the cough and drools out of his mouth. "SHIRO!" Keith comes out of the car to open the driver's door to take Shiro out. "I...can't breathe I can't breathe..." Shiro mutters out as fast he can and clenches onto his chest as Keith holds him. "Lance call 911 quick." Hunk tells Lance as he was already on it. They both hop out of the car leaving Matt in there. Matt watches from the window then shakes his head. He plugs in some music into his ears and waits for the ambulance to pull in.

"Please hang in there Shiro..." Keith tells him. "Yeah we need you here with us....we was just talking about how we don't want to loose you..." Hunk chimes in. As soon as Keith hears that, he tears up. "FUCK WHAT'S TAKING THE DAMN AMBULANCE SO LONG." Lance sighs, "They said give them five minutes or less." "Well I need them fucking now. Bitch a-" Shiro coughs again and Keith lifts his head up so the blood won't go down and drown in his mouth. "It's okay Shiro, I got you." Shiro takes several attempts to take a deep breath but it was like he can't breathe all the way.

Hunk sighs and looks at the car. Matt was in there jamming to music like there was no tomorrow. "I can't take this careless shitface serious anymore." Keith and Lance turn their heads quick. "Never in my life have I heard Hunk curse..." Lance said as he watch Hunk get up and slam the car door open. "What the actual FUCK is wrong with you?!" Hunk gets in Matt's face frightening him. "What are you talking about Hunk?" Matt asks. Hunk pulls out Matt's earbuds taking his phone with him. "What the hell Hunk?!" Matt yells at him. "This man looks like he's about to DIE an you're doing nothing to help him or showing that you care about him at all. I know how you feel about him, but you would rather see him die in front of your fucking face than to help him?! Shithead." Matt rolled his eyes, "You're not even doing anything while you're talking about me Hunk!" Matt snapped back. Hunk gets in his face "AT LEAST IM OUT HERE MAKING SURE HE'S GOING BE OKAY!" He yelled. Matt pushed Hunk out of his face, but Hunk came back to punch Matt in the jaw. Lance runs over to break it up before it gets any further. "GUYS STOP! This isn't what Shiro will want. Please...just calm down."

Suddenly red flashes shine on the guys and a siren was heard. The ambulance finally pulls up with the paramedics to take Shiro to the hospital.
