it's funny how we have these walls built up to protect and shield us from getting hurt. and then one day, someone comes along, and they slowly break down the walls and whilst they do that, you begin to trust them. once the walls are fully broken down, they leave you exposed, exposed to all the hurt you were once shielding yourself from and you have trust in them, trust that they'll protect you from it all. but instead they leave you, bare and exposed to all the hate. and instead of protecting you and making you regret having the walls up and pushing them away, all you that happens is that you remember why you built the walls in the first place
