Ch. 5 Part 1 Kyle’s POV

What the hell was Annie talking about. There wasn’t a giant closet door in here. I sighed and tried to go back to sleep but couldn’t. I stared at the wall until it clicked.

“Fuck!” I jerked up in bed and Charlotte startled awake clutching the sheets to her naked body as she tried to calm her breaths.

“Jesus Kyle! What was that for? What’s wrong?” Char asked sitting up in bed putting a gentle hand on my back as she watched me.

“Charlotte, look at the door.” I said and her eyes turned to the door that was painted on her wall. Before  I had woken up it was painted on to her wall as just a closed door, now the door was open and it was sealed back on to the wall as such

“Oh my god.” She whispered her hands moving to clutch my arm, “Kyle, I think it’s about time I tell you why we haven’t gone back through the doors.” She said to me and I looked down at Charlotte’s face, it was pale and her lips were pressed into a thin line. It was hard to think that tonight had started as such a pleasurable night.

“Char, just tell me what’s going on.” I said and she nodded her head.

“Those three nights… when I was in here painting, I spent midnights there. And I accomplished a lot in one minute.” She started and I nodded my head remembering the feeling, “I was in my imagination, so I did something that was pretty stupid.” She whispered and I nodded for her to continue, “I brought to life the three virgin goddesses the first night.” She blurted and I blinked.

“What?” I asked shocked.

“The three virgin goddesses.” She said slowly and I nodded my head racking my brain for knowledge.

“I’m sorry love, you’re going to have to help me here, mythology is not my good point.” I said and she nodded her head.

“They are all Greek goddesses. Hestia is the goddess of the hearth and the home. Then there is Athena who is most known as the goddess of wisdom and war. And finally Artimis, the goddess of hunt and maidenhood.” Charlotte explained this to me, but I couldn’t see why this was such a bad thing to create the three virgin goddesses.

“I understand now who they are, but what happened that has you convinced it’s a terrible thing?” I asked Char and she wiped the tears from her eyes.

“I didn’t invent three women Kyle, they are goddesses. Full goddesses.” She said to me and it clicked to me why this was a problem.

“Oh.” I said lamely. They were goddesses, Charlotte created goddesses. Ancient Greek Goddesses, and a benefit to being a goddess is that certain things like human restrictions don’t apply to you. The door was open, and very possible three goddesses were roaming around, “At least they are only the virgin goddesses.” I said and Charlotte shook her head.

“On the first night I created the virgin goddesses. On the second I created the rest of the Olympians.” She said and I felt my mouth drop open

“Wait- you created twelve gods?” I asked her and she nodded her head wiping the tears from the corners of her eyes. She was crying, because she was terrified not because she was sad.

“Yes I did. Aphrodite, Apollo, Ares, Demeter, Dionysus, Hephaestus, Hera, Hermes, Poseidon, and Zeus were added the second night. I also created Hades because I felt bad for him.” She whispered and I nodded my head running my hand through my hair. This- now this was bad. All eleven no fourteen of them together, would wreak havoc, “And on the third night we made our dreams real. We made their dreams real.” She said and I just stared at the door painted at the wall.
