Epilogue

Chapter 14 Part 1- Charlotte's POV

“Jonah! Carrie! Help Allison with finding Trevors pacifier! I need to wash the raw meat off of my hands!” I called out turning my head to watch as the twins ran out from the room to help their sister and brother. I finished preparing the food and washed my hands sticking the pans in the oven.

Trevor’s cries were still piercing through the house and I washed my hands before turning around to leave the kitchen, he must be hungry. Walking up to the front of the house into the living room turned play room I saw Kyle holding Trevor in his arms. Trev was still screaming loudly and Kyle was grimacing making me laugh.

               “Baby, please, don’t laugh. He’s really upset and I’m sure it’s because he is hungry.” Ky leaned over to give me a kiss on the lips and pulled back slightly to smile at me.

“Ewww, Daddy kissed Mommy.” Jonah squealed and Kyle laughed using his free hand to cover our sons eyes and Carrie and Allison giggled, Carrie moving behind my leg to pull on the hem of the dress I wore.

               “Daddy do it again.” Allison said between her giggles and Kyle bent to kiss me again much to the protest of Jonah and the humor of his sisters.

“I love you.” i whispered and Kyle kissed my cheek.

               “I love you too Mommy.” he whispered and I smiled looking down at my beautiful children. I reached out to grab baby Trevor and cradle him in my arms.

“Okay you guys, dinner is in the oven and almost ready, so go get ready to eat please. I am going to go feed Trevor.” Allison was the only one who nodded her head vigorously her blonde curls bouncing as she took her younger siblings by the hand and took them upstairs to wash their hands and clean up.

               “Jonah! Don’t forget to wash your hands with soap.” a ‘yes Daddy’ was called back down from upstairs and I unbuttoned my shirt moving away from the window to feed Trevor and soon he was quieted.

“How was your day?” I asked Ky and he shrugged his shoulders placing a hand on our sons head. He was still so small.

               “This is the best part of it. Coming home to the woman I love and the children I love.” I felt my body warm at the honest confession he gave me and stepped closer to him, “How was your day my Love?”

“It’s been okay, a little bit hectic around here since the kids have stopped school, but its okay. Athena and Hestia stopped by. They truly adore the kids.” my eyes watched my son as he was in my arms, his eyes were starting to close and his body was relaxing as he became content.

               “I’m happy they are still here.” Kyle murmured and I blinked looking up at him.

“What?”

               “Charlotte, I know I was not that accepting of them at the beginning but I feel now that I owe them my happiness.” I was reminded of all those years ago when I had almost died at the hands of those evil people and how they saved me. I remembered when the doctors told me that it would be a miracle for me to bear children after the trauma my body had gone through, and how Hera had gifted me with Allison and afterwards all my children.

“I’m so happy to hear that. They really do want to help us.” I whispered holding Kyles hand and he nodded his head.

               “I understand that now.” I laughed at him and Trevor whined a little bit.

“It only took you seven or eight years.” Kyle chuckled his eyes sparkling with mirth.

               “I’m a stubborn goat.”

“You are my stubborn goat.”

Kyle laughed and the sound blended in with the pitter pattering of feet running down the stairs.
