Ch.6

Ch. 6 Part 1 Kyle’s POV

               It was amazing to watch Charlotte sing, as she did the other gods started to appear without as much drama as Hades entrance, they just appeared and I was amazed by their appearances but my attention was solely on Charlotte. I shifted an unconscious Annie in my arms and I stared at Charlotte who was looking at Bianca. She swayed gently holding my sister. She was oblivious to the appearance of the other gods. Her voice was just a slice of heaven. There was something magical about it. When she was done, I felt so damn happy that she was mine. That was my girl. She was amazing. She finally looked up from Bianca and looked around.

“Looks like all fourteen of you are here.” She said and I looked around the room finally. When I was done I turned my attention back to Char who smiled at me, “Babe, how do you feel about grilling for lunch… we have a lot of mouths to feed.” She said and I smiled at her.

               “Sounds like a plan.”

That is exactly what we did. We laid Annie and Bianca in Char’s and I bed and I went grocery shopping for food for enough food to feed the fourteen gods and the four of us. When I got back everyone was in the backyard they were all standing in a loose circle Charlotte was talking to them all. I just started up the grill and cooked. It was a nice normal thing to do when everything unnatural was happening. I needed some normalcy. I was lost in the simple task of grilling the vegetables and burgers. I just decided for burgers for everyone, it was easier to feed eighteen people with.

               I nearly jumped when I felt a pair of arms wrap around my waist. I turned to see Charlotte her head resting against my back. Was I seeing things right? Charlotte was willingly hugging me, from behind even, in public?

“Char?” I asked and Charlotte lifted her face to look at me. It was definitely Charlotte hugging me, “Babe are you alright?” I asked turning to face her taking a step away from the grill.

               “Yeah, I’m okay.” Charlotte said and I just hugged Char. I wasn’t going to interrogate her in public, not in front of fourteen gods. I knew something wasn’t okay with her though.

“When are you two getting married?” a voice asked and I looked up to see a brown haired goddess, she was rather plain looking, but her posture and over all countenance made her more of an amazing person.

               “Not any time soon.” Charlotte sighed. I was surprised, she sounded a bit upset. Did she want to get married? I took a step back thinking about it and Charlotte let her arms fall away from me.

“I’m sorry, I don’t think I’ve met you before.” I said looking at the woman again. She was in a white toga, there was some gold in it and it made her glow naturally, the more I looked at her the more beautiful she became.

“I’m Hera, queen of the gods.” She introduced and I nodded my head holding my hand out for her to shake but she just stared at it, I let my arm fall awkwardly to my side.

               “Uh- I’m Kyle. I’m Charlotte’s boyfriend.” I said and she nodded her head eyeing the two of us. She sighed glancing back at us before walking off. She went to stand beside a man who was rather gruff looking. He looked powerful, also in a white toga and with white hair and scruff on his face, very rugged looking. I assumed he was Zeus, I knew Hera was the queen and Zeus is the king of the gods.

“She’s also a protector of marriage.” Char said and I turned my head to her.

               “Promoter more like it.” I mumbled and Charlotte laughed throwing her head back and enjoying it. I smiled at her as she laughed. She was so beautiful. She smiled at me widely and I winked at her before turning back to the grill. I put the done vegetables on a giant serving platter and started putting buns on the grill to toast, “Who wants cheese on their burger!?” I yelled turning around to look at the group.
