HELLO, I am putting an author's note at the top of this because I didn't want to do a whole preface for such a short piece of information. This book begins about 2 years after "More" (the first book) ends, I don't think you'll need to have read "More" to understand this but it would probably help. Enjoy!

"That's fucking awesome!" Heath said, as David looked at his phone in disbelief.

The travel ban for DACA recipients had finally been lifted. David read news article after news article before deciding to contact his immigration lawyer to see how accurate it was. The guys, who he had been hanging out with that evening, talked about plans for videos while David exited the room for about 20 minutes, returning and throwing a fist into the air.

"I can leave. And it's guaranteed for at least 90 days, but after that it could be overturned"

"Where are you going first?" Zane.

"If he fucking says somewhere stupid I swear to God" Jason said.

"Actually..." David started, before shaking his head. "Um, yeah, I don't know"

"What were you gonna say?" Brandon, who had picked up on his hesitation, asked.

David smiled a little while shaking his head.

"I was thinking... no seriously, nevermind"

"Oh, come on" Brandon urged.

"Ok so listen, I know this is kind of crazy, but I've been thinking about proposing to Maddy" David said, bracing for his friends reactions.

"No way, dude, congrats!" Brandon said, high fiving David.

Heath had his hand on his chest while Zane pretended to cry.

"Little David is growing up"

Everyone's reactions were positive, except for Jason who didn't say anything. He just smiled politely.

"When were you thinking of doing it?"

"I... I don't know, I was just laying in bed one night a few months ago and the thought popped into my head and I haven't been able to stop thinking about it. I wasn't gonna do it for a while but like... it was the first thing I thought about when I found out about the travel ban lift"

"Are you gonna do it?" Todd asked.

"I don't know, I need to think about it"

"Well, is she gonna say yes?" Heath asked.

"I mean, we've kind of talked about it" David laughed.

"YOU HAVE?" Zane asked.

David nodded. They continued to talk to it before the subject eventually changed. Jason went into the kitchen. David got up and followed him.

"Jason" David said.

Jason turned around.

"What.... do you think about that?" David asked, motioning to the living room. "Because your opinion really matters to me"

Jason looked up for a moment. David knew what he was about to say was going to be negative. He had talked to Jason in the past years about getting married and Jason always advised for him to grow as a person, and to wait, because he was so young.

"David, can I be honest with you?"

David nodded and leaned against the counter.

"Frankly, I think you're young. I think you have a lot of time to get engaged and a lot of time to get citizenship so you can leave the country if your dream is to propose in Paris" Jason started. "But... it's fucking Maddy Laurent"

David smiled a little.

"You have grown up so much since you started seeing her. You're yourself... but less fucking stupid. So much less stupid. She genuinely makes you a better version of yourself."

David laughed.

"Does this mean you approve?"

"I will repeat, I really don't think it would be bad for you to wait, but... it's Maddy."

David wiped a tear away from his eye, as Jason laughed.

"I fucking love you, dude" David said, hugging Jason.

"I love you too, you better not fuck this up, ok?"

"I won't, I promise"

"Good, now you better start booking flights, you only have 90 days"

HELLO AGAIN! Should I do songs as titles, or keep it as just the numbers? I realized I don't always listen to songs that authors link in books so I realized people might not be listening to the songs I link and I got lazy. Hope u enjoy!
